Yes, quite a lot actually. Not dungeons but all the new strike missions, fractals and raids that were added to the game during living world updates are in the pool. Obviously they all include a lot of fully voiced story missions and most of them are way more mechanically rich than previous story missions. There's reasons to replay them too for the achievements and the rewards that come with them.
Living World Season 3 alone adds 6 new zones, all with daily activities.
Living World Season 4 + The Icebrood Saga is practically the size of an expansion.
It's all a ton of content and it's very high quality more often than not.
So far there are 4 seasons of the living world that you need to unlock via ... either being there when they unlocked or buying them with gems (or this special pack) Each season having like 5-8 story chapters with new story instances. Which can be considred as a lot of story, and also, if you ignore all the living story and just play the regular expansion stories ... you will miss out of a huge part of the story.
Gameplay wise each season also adds new maps. Season 2 is an exception since it only ads 2 maps and also the maps are always available and don't need the episodes unlocked. But every single chapter of season 3 and 4 gives access to a new map region and in general they're often quite fun to play, also with lots of achievements you can do if you like that.
Season 5 is another exception as every 2 chapters share on map region, so it only has a total of 3.
It obviously also depends how much you like the maps but in general you can spend quite some time on these maps and trying to find all secrets and unlocking all achievements. Also, there are some more meta like achievements, that require you to do special tasks in all maps of a season in order to unlock very special rewards, like some unique accessories or also one new mount.
So you surely can say that there is a lot of content packed inside most of the living world seasons (maybe except the a bit more boring season 2) And if you like the story or simply want more content to play I'd say the living world seasons are pretty much worth it. Though I obviously can understand that 100$ for everything is a very steep price, even though ArenNet probably thinks that it is very much worth it for having 3 expansions and 4 seasons in it. It at least is cheaper than when you buy everythign individually. But also, you can buy the living world seasons for gems, and you can convert gold, the normal ingame currency, into gems to buy them, so you theoretically cold save the money ..... but it really requires a lot of it, so .... idk how much worth it would be to try to farm the needed gold for it.
I actually leveled 6 characters to 80. You're right, it was a living hell. Playing the same boring story over and over and over again. The worst story and acting, the lamest cut scenes I have ever seen in any game. When I first played this game I thought it might be a Japanese MMORPG.
Also keep in mind the guy posting above, that you replied to is trolling these forums to deter people from the game. He has nothing positive to say and gives a lot of false information. You don't have to spend money on the living world seasons, you can buy them with in-game gold through the conversion to gems process. Takes about 2-3 weeks of dailies (fractals etc.) to get enough gold to buy a full season. The expansions are the only thing you cant buy with gold.
