lvl 10 already bugged quest? LMAO this games been around how long

i cannot progress in my story past the "going undercover" quest, the river drakes i have to clear out keep spawning in water where i cannot hit them with my sword at all.

i kill 2 on the bridge and there are 3 in the deep water im unable to do any damage to, quest wont go anywhere

You get free stuff given each levelup. One of which is under water gear. Which you probably destroyed.

Also it literally does explain about under water combat when u get it. So u mustve Just ignored it

Also next time u encounter an issue. Just ask ingame in map chat. People always help out.

And go underwater, don't swim at the surface, underwater combat works only while diving

Did you equip your underwater weapons? They have different slots on your character menu. Maybe you accidentally destroyed or salvaged them? If you are doing a main quest, then the game should have provided you with underwater weapons.

If you don't have them anymore, you can buy some cheap from the trading post.

Have you tried underwater combat ? Try equiping a trident or a speargun or whatever UNDERWATER weapon your class can have and fight them strainght on ..right up in their faces.

I mean if you want an apple thats why high up on tree irl you dont start swinging a stick around ..you bring ladder :D

GW2 community is very weird one, like overprotective over their small game to the point where they deter any new blood incoming and calling them trolls or clowns.

At level 8 you receive your first underwater weapon - either a spear, speargun or trident. If you haven't had it yet, check that you don't have a sort of diamond floating icon in the bottom right of your screen above your minimap as those are level up rewards.

It's not bugged, you just missed it. You can also go to a stock weapon vendor (sword icon) and buy a white underwater weapon for pennies.

Underwater combat unlocks at level 8. You've most likely been given a weapon and a breathing mask to equip. There would have been a popup telling you as much. So check your inventory.

You literally got it as a level up reward at level 8.
You get an aquabreather (underwater helmet) and a weapon for your class - in your case you received a Vital Iron spear.
The popup window also pointed out "Underwater combat", so you might have gone through it a bit too fast and didn't even realize what you were doing.
It's sadly oyur fault so instead of trying to make it look like it's the game's fault just admit that you were too hasty.
