Improve the graphics for the sake of the game!
if the graphics don't improve, rest assured that many people won't play it just for that reason, a pity the game is very good but I know many who won't try it because it looks like PS3

Also, it is still played by a million people a day. Calling it a dead game sheds some light into your thinking.

Just stop.
I was talking about the new people that arrive for the launch of Steam, which is the point of putting it on steam, attracting new people to the game.:deadrat:
If all that was for my benefit, well, I don't speak Spanish. All I understand from that part is "jajaja" and it's not suggesting a compliment.

The new people will have to appreciate the graphics, as is. Besides, GW2 having bad graphics is a subjective opinion. If that's the measuring stick of a potential new player who doesn't even bother to look at gameplay and the wealth content on offer before rejecting the idea of playing GW2, the game's community is better off without them.

I do not know if he is aware of that. I mean, those do improve the quality of the graphics, and there are even options to allow AlienWare stuff in the graphics menu if you are using the hardware. So, I am not certain how he thinks the game's graphics look bad when it still looks really good.

Bless is the flip. Good graphics, crap game
and how much players they have? yeah im not sure about that man , they are classic games but only that

And what makes you think good graphic is a recipe for mmo success?
Lets see... sword art online never achieve any success, new world is already dead, and lost ark lost the majority of its player in less than 2months.

Gw2 doesnt really need graphical upgrade, it just needs performance upgrade. No rubber banding in wvw would improve this game so much better than a graphical upgrade

Dx11 and dx12 dont improve the graphics. Anet did say it would allow them to add some new effects, but i havent noticed any of those new effects.

They do improve the performance tho, especially in spvp. Enabling the option completely remove the stuttering and increase fps quite a lot.

They do improve the graphics but indirectly. Since performance is better, lower end PCs can have more of the settings set to higher quality. I know it affected my game but that's a pool of one, so don't take my word for it.

DX11 will be the default setting once it's out of beta. Until then, I don't think ANet will implement anything new so that might be the reason you don't see any improvements as of yet.

Sword Art Online isn't an MMO (That's the name of the series) but your other examples are fine

This has to be a troll thread. Can't be April fools as it was a day late.

GW2 has some of the best graphics and character animations I've seen in an MMO.

graphics in this game are outdated period

Art direction vs graphics, mate.
It is a 10-year-old game with some of the best designers in the industry. If they updated one system, lighting, you wouldn't be able to tell when this game was released. They might just do that once DX11 is out of Beta in their engine.
Graphic updates are nice, but this game will not attract a huge new following simply because it's mechanics are outdated and the gameplay is stale. It's a game in maintenance mode.

I played it back in 2012 until 2014, and it's ok for a playthrough or two, then it quickly gets boring.

It's a weird thing, stating that the game is outdated when you last played it well before the first expansion was released. Do you have anything more... recent?

Lol... remind me what kind of innovation new world and lost ark did in terms of gameplay. Let us knw if any of the newer mmo has interesting open world activity

When you base that off from way back then to now is a little disingenuous only because there have been 3 major expansions, 4 mini expansions (Living World Content), and announcements for more new, returning, and re-balanced content to come for the core game(The core game being the game without expansions). Especially considering that gw2 has a lot of end-game content to catch up on for new /returning players. GW2 has a lot to offer to keep one busy with fun full map meta events, new and old world bosses, Strikes, Fractals (more have been added over the years), raids, sPvP, even WvW is becoming something new called Alliances which is going to be Guilds vs Guilds. Not to mention the whole loot system behind WvW will be restructured. To put it mildly, a lot has changed about the game over the years and even more change is coming. Hell, they even reworked a lot of core class perks and abilities sometimes changing them up completely into something else entirely. Anet even announced further balances and reworks are upcoming as well with dedicated teams for PvP, WvW, and PvE since each mode is unique in its own way. I could go on, but I would recommend logging back on if you really want to see the changes made.
