this is the best MMORPG i ever played, and i play all of them. People don't like it cause gear doesn't matter in this game. It is about horizontal progression, exploring and enjoying social aspect

You do know Asmongold is an exaggerated character right? Sure, Zack doesn't like the game as he wants progression (power creep) & exclusive rewards, the Asmon persona just turns everything up to 11

Summit enjoyed the PvE since you only need to know your skills (Not really) but fell at the PvP since you need to know EVERYONE'S skills. (Game sucks because I refuse to learn how to play)

Its a bit ironic considering WoW has this thing, called wow tokens.

The big difference is that gw2 doesnt have vertical progression, which makes the "p2w" aspect doesnt really matter

How can it be dead on arrival? It's been alive and thriving since 2012, and has one of the top 5 largest playerbases in any MMO throughout that whole time period. Games exist outside the bounds of steam believe it or not, and the steam release for this game can do nothing but help its numbers.

When Stephanie Sterling made their video the news about what actually was cut was not public yet, later on it did become public and it wasn't Guild Wars 2 that lost people or got cut in funding, but it was other non guild wars 2 projects that were cut which meant letting go of those people working on those particular project.

When the game launched it was a fun casual game. Now after the expansions and all the other junk to grind for, it's just not that fun anymore. It was so fun before all that crap. The fanboys will still try to say it's still a casual MMO. It's a super P2W grindfest. now. Almost as bad as Neverwinter.

I dunno the maps are empty in the new expansion. Even tagging up so players can see you in the map can get you up to 5 players maybe.

Plus all the politically charged message in the new expansion is making a lot of players very uncomfortable.

Some stuff in the game is really good and some stuff is really bad. And I think the bad stuff is being protected by defensive players and arenanet staff. The game is never going to change. GW2 players keep going around shilling the game to get more people to play. And yet, so many have already played and stopped. GW2 players and devs won't listen to what we didn't like. So it's a tug of war between fanboys shilling and jaded critics pushing back.
