Did you eventually figure this out?
I realise it's been a while for you, but ...
I am right there in the secret area, also trying to make heads and tails of it.
The numbers on the monitor are very hard for me to make out, so I never got to the number you did. I did however notice the 108 00 above the doorway.
But I just noticed something else. There are two identical objects in this area that glow a different colour when you aim a stone ("basic", or throwable 1) at it. And this only occurs with the stone, none of the other throwables has this effect when aiming. I'm talking about an object that resembles a kind of low "cupboard" or trolley with a grated top surface. It has wheels underneath and could/should be movable, but no prompt comes up to interact with it. I should post a screenshot of what I'm referring to.
I have now thrown several "basic" objects at both of these, but as far as I can see, nothing has happened as a result of my action.
I have noticed two other things that may actually not be involved, but is interesting to me anyway: a) at the end of the corridor in that area, if you look up (you may have to make Harper aim), you can see a shaft leading up, with a ladder visible but not reachable; and b) in the room with the monitor in the centre there is an opening above one of the "doors" against the rounded side walls. But so far none of this gets me anywhere.
In this very short video (link below) the player recognises the symbol on the doors to the secret area as being from "The Dharma Initiative", a fictional research project featured in the second season of the TV series "Lost". Apparently the secret area in the game is an easter egg with references to the above-mentioned. The area appears to be simply that: an easter egg, with nothing else to do there but observe and recognise the references. Apparently the number code "4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42" is frequently mentioned in the show. Somebody familiar with the show would instantly recognise the significance.
