The people in question pretty much all have some background in similar games and will absolutely ♥♥♥♥ on any and all newcomers while spamming clown emotes. Weirdly regulated premades and classic Riot matchmaking don't make it any better. The updates are all over the place as well. That's bad.
They have their own launcher available for download on their site, it's called Theorycraft launcher or something.
Why do you care so much about the game's life expectancy? Ultimately, isn't it irrelevant? The only thing that matters is if you enjoy the game now, and if you do, just play it while you can.
