SUPERVIVE

SUPERVIVE

I really don't think this game should stay BR focused
Don't get me wrong, I think supervive actually does something unique with the genre, having characters, items, actually interact and use the environment to their advantage.

But Here's the problem, you have to do way more than that to bring other players in and keep em, and right now that is really the only different thing about supervive, the ways to interact with the environment.

Because with the little things that are different, seriously ask yourself "why would anyone who's been playing other BR's swap to this game as their main"

Yes Apex is failing rn, but Fortnite, pubg, going strong and keeping their player bases.

The Only people checking out or sticking with Supervive, at least in my experience is league players. Because the dev team is a majority of the league team a lot of people knew and loved. (myself included)

So hear me out, why climb such a massive uphill battle trying to stake a claim in the BR market against some of the biggest successes in the industry with Millions of dollars to use at their disposal. On top of them being a well known games fricken everywhere.

With the groundwork the supervive has currently, why not make a moba.

Yes the same question can still be applied here ik "why would anyone who's been playing League for years swap to this game as their main"

But compared to the BR market, League is the biggest competitor:
-Dota exists and is massive but no one outside of Dota really cares. Its in its weird niche scenario where its big but the public only notices league
-Smite continues to piss off its playerbase and its goodwill
-other smaller games like predecessor will likely never make an impact with how little the public even knows about these games.

People know Supervive because of the League dev background. Plus, the games combat could be super fun in a more focused moba setting instead of a wander around the map hoping you find people after 5min BR style. And in general i think it would be a lot easier to test, develop, and bugfix a moba then a huge 50+ player BR.

Just popped in mind, Deadlock is already showing people like moba's still and want a different game to play then league. Yes its a valve game so that gives them a lot of power, but I still think it shows there is potential in the moba market.

Especially with how money hungry League is getting too, this could be a chance for supervive to come in and be all like "hey remember when moba's were an actual game and not a $250 gacha machine"

I just really dont think BR is the way to go if we want this game to succeed, there are too many big hitters on a hot streak rn to try to steal their playerbases. and for me personally I like the Arena mode 1000x more then the br mode. because i get to fight and not worry about bs like 3rd parties, zone position, ect. like the damn glide mechanic has straight up costed me games due to the circle and map design where there was 0 chance at an outplay.

We're already bleeding players, yes its beta but ive seen this song and dance before, it wont change. Dont end up like Omega strikers where they dont listen and end up shutting down not even a year in.

Something needs to change, and i think supervive could prove what every league player constantly says "League is trash and I just want to quit and play a better game" But there isnt another game like league, so make it. no?

No thanks. I think this is a good time to remind everyone that many companies have tried and failed to make a traditional moba. You are not the first person to suggest they pivot Supervive to a traditional moba and you will not be the last. I'm sorry that you aren't content wiht LoL but Supervive is not a replacement for LoL nor is it trying to be. The truth is Moba's are dated and I don't think we are doing the space any favors by staying in the past
I have always wanted an overwatch/rivals style hero shooter with the perspective of supervive. Payload modes, point control modes etc.

I paryially agree, they don' need to remove the all vs all system but the map shrinking needs to go and be replace by some kind of no-objective zones.

I don't know if you guys are familiar with "Catalyst Black" (android/IOS) the the battle arena game released by Supercell (currently dying) the devs of Vainglory best MOBA ever (also currently dying)

SuperVive is catalystBlack made better,
they dished out the transformation into monsters and they brough back asymetric charecter. In CatalystBlack only weapons and item would provide diffrent skills to the players.

But thegenius mind of Supercell crafted something very great in CatalystBlack , SUpervive managed to harness and restore, the multi-objectives map that builds a cinematic a skirmish-arena, NOthing ever gets boring.

the Only mistake is the implementation of the battle royale formula. the circle shrinking is not needed in this design...they can make some part of the map unaccessible but the map needs to be bigger so people die jsut because they loose a combat and not not because thay got caugh by another team right after a fight.
I just want competitive wow arena equivalent with counter picking talents based on matchup etc etc.

Would be fun.
I think this is a flawed argument very early in your reasoning. I would think it very unlikely that a game like Supervive has much overlap with the target audiences of Fortnite, PUBG and Apex Legends.

This is a moba first and foremost. Specifically a "zoomer moba", designed for people who think regular mobas are "too much work/too menial". This targets the same audience as say people who loved Battlerite. Battlerite has barely any overlap with the shooter audience.
