Not exactly. With this early in the game, you need to pay money first to initially get into the battlepass (BP) trend; Meaning they'll earn money for new players joining in the pass. It also increases player activity and retention, since veteran players and paying players are incentivized to continue play in order to continue unlocking the current/future battlepass rewards.
Honestly, it seems to me that no matter what the company does there's always going to be a never-satisfied heckler. The forum right now:
> Make BP give higher quality rewards - "It's not fair that they're giving out these skins and exclusives in BP when already paid x for this item a while back. I'm quitting this game."
> Make BP give lower quality rewards - "BP and store skins sucks i'll never buy it. This is why the game's dying."
> Make BP give more free items - "Disaster! They'll never make money! This game will die soon."
> Make BP give less free items - "This game is only for the paying elites. Give more items for free or else I'm quitting."
If you were the developers, what would you do? Answer that. I'd say 90% of community feedbacks to your answer would be those mindless yappings with no pragmatic solution. The company made a well balanced decision and I commend them for that.
