Do agree with the chat bans though, those were an overall net negative to online gaming.
While there are recommended items for each character in supervive, all of them seem to be usable on each with each respective "class"(i.e. dmg, hybrid, tank), especially with the limited amount of items which I like. I think with too many items you get over complicated systems like Eternal Return which isn't welcoming to new players. You don't want players spending two minutes reading what all of their items do in a fast paced BR. Also with LoL it's pretty overloaded imo, dozens if not 100 or so items, for each group of champions, many items go unused. Of course, they're all usable in a sense, but some not viable due to the sheer amount and differences for kits. League is sort of unbalanced in the way that it doesn't often support off-meta builds and if you aren't building X then you're throwing and will lose the game.
