11/26 patch killing duo Q? / Why no solo Q?

Let me preface this by saying how much I love this game, It's fresh and new and amazing

However, Why did the recent patch make Duo Q players in masters+ not be able to play together? Same thing goes for battle royal 4 premade? I understand it's for the solo players who complain about teamplays/ don't have friends to play with but even that seems like a mute point because this game is free and virtually anyone who has a computer can run it, then decide if they want to learn how to play.

Why try so hard to help out solo players, and mess up teamplay competitively in this patch? This change seems unfair. I really don't think the majority of people who play or love this game are going into the lobbies after work, grinding all day in solos. Half the solo players don't group and don't have mic enabled. So wouldn't it be a smarter decisions as the developers of a beautiful hybrid game-play-loop, to appeal to the majority of the player-base who play this game with other friends / people?

I just started playing this game 4-5 days ago. Right as I'm starting to fall in love with it, and starting to hit clips, I'm being punished for rank Q'ing with my friend who got me into this game. This game was advertised as a competitive league-adjacent game to kickback and grind with friends. I really want some insight as to how to get around this, or a potential fix, as this was looking to be one of my main games and now I can't even play competitive with my friend.

3 Possible compromises / fixes from best to worst

1: Revert the duo / 4's Q ranked to how it was before this patch. However if you do revert, fix the ranked / skill disparity in matchmaking so that the new silver and gold players cant complain about getting matched with a masters+ duo Q. I think this is the most practical and obvious solution. Just advising solo players to stick to non-competitive. The highest level of play in all games is extremely coordinated and achieving that through solo Q with microphone off is extremely unlikely.
