Corruption Error 0x0001 Fix
Hello,

After extensive debugging to resolve the Corruption Error 0x0001 at launch, I finally found a fix! While this solution might be specific to my setup, I wanted to share it in case it helps others.

Here's everything I tried before discovering the fix:

  • Updating BIOS
  • Verifying Game Files
  • Reinstalling the game
  • Reinstalling the game to a different drive
  • Testing RAM using MemTest86
  • Checked drive health using CrystalDiskInfo

Here's the fix:

If you’re using an Intel i9 13900k/14900k or Intel i7 13700k/14700k, the solution is to underclock the 'Performance Core' speeds. The easiest way to do this is by using the Intel Extreme Tuning Utility (Intel XTU). Go to the Advanced Tuning section in the utility and adjust the Performance Per-Core Tuning.

Reduce the core multiplier by 1 at a time, then test if the game launches and runs smoothly. On my 14900k, I had to lower the core speed from x57 to x54 to get the game to work without crashing.

I suggest uninstalling and reinstalling the game each time you change the core speed.

I hope this helps anyone struggling with issues caused by newer Intel CPUs. If you found this useful, I’d appreciate it if you could use my referral code. Thank you! 😊

This is a well known issue with tons of recent gen Intel CPUs

This is from Epic Games:

This fix worked for me as well! i had to drop mine lower but followed the process of doing it one increment at a time. I also reinstalled the game before attempting each re-launch.

I have INTEL XTU, but i am unable to modify the ratio on the cores do you know how to bypass this? I tried using the different microcodes in my BIOS but both wont allow me to tweak the ratios, i have a i7 13700k
