sadly it is not exact when going by the prompt, you will have to learn the the attack pattern more then going by the prompt for area of effect attacks. be it just from out of sync animations or variations in the range of the effect/attack patterns and triggers for them.
such as when and how they do it and the patterns that follow, like with bloki magu i noticed his leap is targeted and is triggered by being at range but his jump/stomp is based on how close you are to him. along with what else is going on with his attack/idle pattern and duration.
one thing i think i noticed is there looks to be a brief prompt on the ground where the mobile area of effect attack will land but it goes by very fast. oh and so far i noticed the roll for double taping dodge is not a dodge in its self, you will still get hit mid roll.
