The sturdiest training dummy.
I've gotten as far as the tutorial sidequest to beat up the training dummy. I did the dodges and double dodges and now I keep being prompted to RB the tar out of the dummy... but I've been hitting it for literally, not figuratively, five minutes. Button spamming, timing my inputs to the prompt, attacking from the front, the back, attack after dodging,... anything I could think of, including trying to just walk away. But the dummy just steadfastly stands there and seems unimpressed. Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug or does it have more HP than the final boss in a Final Fantasy game?

Boy, that was not obvious to me. I went through all the same steps as OP and thought it was bugged.

It took me a while to figure this out too. I think I just lucked into figuring it out. Not clear at all.

not obvious at all. i got stuck for 10 minutes and ask a refund. so sad at just the beggining of the game
