Blacksmith achievement?

How does one get this achievement? From what I've noticed there are more than 7 weapon types and how is it possible to upgrade 7 weapons to level 5 in one play through as there's only a set amount of Orichalcum per play through?

Here are all the weapon types I think are in game:
- Chains
- Claws
- Batons
- Wheels
- Mallets
- Fans
- Halberds
- Dual Swords
- Muskets

Help will be much appreciated.

your best bet is to check which are unique to each class when creating a new game or you can just and upgrade all of them (not sure if the latter is possible). I was planning on checking each class just been lazy.

Info from the Powerpyx guide:
1. Wheels currently don't count for this achievement.
2. Muskets and batons are currently considered the same class (sic!).

With all these bugs around, I suspect that the DLC Discus chain also doesn't count as a normal weapon.

There are 8 orichalcum ingots in the game (actually, you get the ninth from the last boss, but you can't use it) so you can make one mistake.

Probably the safest method to get the achievement is not to upgrade any weapons after level 4 until you get 7 orichalcum ingots, make a backup save and then go for it.

Its bugged atm i tried to get it on newgame+ to either +5 or +9 all the 8 weapons it didnt pop up for me.

Yes, I have 11 orichalcum ingots before the final boss, and neither upgrading older weapons to +9, nor another full set to +5 works. The achievement is bugged on a fundamental level.
I see OP gained it before the patch, probably by speedrunning in Assist Mode, since it's not listed among the achievements that are disabled in that mode.
So we either do that or, hopefully, Spiders will aknowledge the problem and resolve it retroactively like Fashion Victim achievement.

I managed to get the achievement by following these steps:

1: Choose one weapon that you'll use throughout the entire game and upgrade it once.
2: Kill all the bosses (not the final one) to obtain Orichalcum ingots. (If the boss didn't drop anything try restarting the game or go to the carriage and travel to the same area and go back to the boss arena, that'll refresh the boss's drop).
3: Kill all the unstable automates, they will drop Bismuth Ingots.
4: Once you have done all that, buy mainly all the Bismuth and Orichalcum ingots possible at the store then buy the rest of the Iron and Bronze ingots.
5: Get these weapons:
- Musket
- Claws
- Dual Swords
- Chain
- Mace
- Halbred
- Fans
6: Travel to the final area of the game to kill the last unstable automate to receive the last couple Bismuth ingots.
7: Upgrade all the weapons to max from step 5.
8: And you're all good to go.

Are you got that achievment after the patch 1.04?

Well, I upgraded 8 weapons in the original run, and got nothing.

I started new playthrough and managed to unlock this achievement, so probably saves
started before 1.04 got broken or something

I saw a post on Reddit from person who unlocked this achievement, he said that he upgraded weapons to level 9 (which is maximum level right now).
