I completed Steelrising and am in the middle of Lies of P, so I guess I can compare.
LoP is much, much more polished, runs very smooth, is very challenging (not only the bosses, but also mobs), so it runs better and gives you more thrills.
On the other had, SR is more charismatic in my opinion, the main character is much more interesting, the world feels more lived in and detailed, but the bosses are too easy (you hardly ever die to them), and the game is very choppy even on faster PCs, and has never been properly optimized.
I liked SR more, but LoP is probably the better game.
EDIT: I have now finished Lies of P and my opinion stands.

Thanks for this write up. I am tired of soulslikes but I liked previous Spiders games, so with SR in humble I figured I might as well at least try it. Your post gives me some hope I might not hate it.

I've played LoP through new game+. Lop is very good, though the bosses can be very frustrating. I honestly always fretted when I knew a boss was coming up because basically the whole game gets brick walled until you can get past them. perfect parrying is absolutely mandatory and the window for it is way to small imo. Plus there are so many delayed and off timing attacks it can become very frustrating. New game+ makes the game seem much more balanced and funner/less frustrating

I actually like the level design in SR a bit more. It's a little more complex and explorative. Lop's maps are a little more straight-forward, thought there is still a bit of exploration.
Also as mentioned the performance is night and day different. Lop runs flawlessly, SR's performance is frankly unacceptable imo.

havent played much of this one but lies of P was way better so far
edit: several bosses in and idk if i'll continue this game, very mediocre combat. glad I got this in a bundle

I havnt played steelrising yet , but I will say Lies of P was just "okay" imo. Very little enemy variety and the level design was very boring. It was basically "on rails" with no exploration and the shortcuts were completely pointless. Weapon variety and gear in general was lacking as well.

The bosses were okay, but im not a fan of beating a boss and it immediately being a regular enemy afterwords.

just plays lies of p its so much better and optimized to actually run, steelrising has stuttered and had ♥♥♥♥ performance since launch and has yet to be fixed nor will it, the maps on SR are absolutely brutal to get through, no bonfire system so if u wanna get to a certain spot b prepared to run the entire area which all can be confusing as well. LoP is kinda straightforward but the combat was fun, story i enjoyed and the next DLC is alice in wonderland so can't wait, never finished SR just couldnt force myself to, LoP beat 3 times now

Lies of P is Bloodborne/Sekiro-like.
Steelrising is Dark Souls 1-like.
Two very different games, play what you enjoy the most.

Amongst Soulslike games Lies of P is in the same tier as BloodBorne.

Lies of P is vastly superior. SR is good but incredibly easy, the bosses are complete jokes and frankly the level design is horrible. Yes please, more blasted cities with identical streets everywhere.
Lies of P is far smoother and faster, yet SR has a protagonist that actually speaks..

Hey hey!!!!
A F1 game has smoother and faster cars than a GT3 game, yay!!!
LoP is a Bloodborne type of game, more comparable to Sekiro in that regard.
SR is a DS1 type of game, more comparable between DS1 and DS2.
Hey hey!!!! LoP is vastly superios, is smoother and faster yay!!!
Btw, Sekiro was not hard by any mean too and a game being "faster" does not equal it being harder (unless "reaction" is a problem to you).

No chance man Lies of P is a 7/10 bloodborne is a 10/10

The level design in lies of p is very bland and straightforward. And as I said before the limited amount of gear , weapons, and enemy variety is very dissapointing.

I have Lies of P.
IMO, pretty good regarding story. Gameplay is something I'm not used to.
I've a problem with my hands so gaming is harder for me. Souls games are VERY hard BUT I have given some a try and managed to finish them. I'm not a Completionist.

My PC:
Ryzen 7 7700
RTX 3060Ti
16GM RAM.
It ran fine as long as I didn't have anything else going but no drastic problems if I had a web page open.
I did get this on sale and it seems to be a "Souls-lite" so for me probably something I can enjoy with the right amount of challenge.

I've played them both (Steelrising only a week ago more or less). Lies of P is way way better in every aspect. Steelrising felt more... "meh".

As for the technical aspect... I can play Lies of P at 1440p with everything in ultra (except a couple of options), while Steelrising forced me to play 1080p with mid-low graphics.

This is a video I've made about Steelrising performance on a gtx 1070
https://youtu.be/IzWS2O-EAv0

And this one is from a Lies of P full playthrough that I'm currently uploading
https://youtu.be/fpfYLV7bD_Y

About the mixed reviews... who knows?

Cheers!

Not every game that is not hack&sllash is the same and Lies of P is more to be compared to Bloodborne not to any Souls or souls-like game while Steelrising is more to Dark Souls 1 type of gameplay so comparing Steelrising to Lies of P is the same as comparing Oranges to Bananas, both are fruits but the similarities end there.
