Only one NG+. No NG++ or NG+++?
When I first played through the game and read that there was no NG+ mode I couldn't believe it. The game was released for a full price without a new game+ mode. This leads to the assumption that there was simply not enough time left for the development of the mode. Well OK, I don't think it's that tragic, since NG+ mode was added with the first patch.

Now I played three times through NG+ and I can't believe again that there is no increase in difficulty and anima when starting NG+2 or NG+3 at all.

Was the time for the development the mode again just too short? I cannot understand this decision.

how long did it take you to do each run?

I can't tell exactly, but I have a total playtime of 60 hours. I remember the first playthrough took 25 hours.

I'm only missing the blacksmith achievement, but it seems its bugged on NG+ and you have todo it in 1 playthrough.

its taken me 4hours to get to checkmate so probably around 5-6 hours a run with dialogue skipping

Multiple NG+s is not really as common as you think. NG+ is generally it.

Please? All these games offer multiple NG+ scaling.

Dark Souls 1, 2 & 3
Sekiro
Bloodborne
Elden Ring
Nioh 1 & 2
Hellpoint
The Surge 1 & 2
Mortal Shell
Lords of the Fallen

Please? Yes. A few games series, all taking after Dark Souls does not NG+ being common make.

NG+ has been around since the dawn of time and having it be in a few series since 2011 doing the cycle thing doesn't make it common. Are you trying to say this game is in the same vein and you want to have multiple NG+ cycles, sure whatever. But that doesn't make it common and something that every game has to have. Maybe they devs just didn't want to do that, just because some others have doesn't make it written in stone.

yeah but NG+ scaling is common among soulslike games, and since this is a soulslike game its just a little funky to not have NG+ scaling

No, you can again start NG+ on that save, but the game experience will be the same as NG+ without difficulty or anima inrease.

Maybe they add additional level scaling in later updates? I know it is wishfull thinking, but at least the current NG+ has some new stuff to collect and new enemy types, that is something rarely any soulslike has.
