What build are you playing, how do u like it?
I started w/ the Bodyguard, the stagger worked for a while, before it got too hard around lvl 20. Ended up restarted and played my more Comfortable Fast Hitting w/ Long range Alchemist w/ some Engineering. Resources are more tight w/ this build however, when I am low on health, I could use the Frost Gun and not die too much.
Recently, I've added the Fire Chain, because many enemies have high Ice resistance. That truly help vs the Trumpet guy, who beats me a lot w/ longer range, and the fat ice guy who is nearly ice immune.
Thinking about add the Lightning claw as well :)

I'm Dancer and mostly sticking to it. I use these dual swords now you find quite early. Falchion and whatever or so.

I had some problems in the second are with some of the ice enemies but overall i like it.
Some attacks are kinda stupid and the only reliable way to avoid them seems to outspace them. But dodge and get behind enemies often works as well.

I'm 6-7 hours in and so far i think they did a good job. I'm actually fighting now somewhat fluid most of the time.
Alchemist is kinda broken, aside from the fact that you need Alchemy... thingies [Yes, I forgot the name]

You get the one ice gun pretty early on, so freezing enemies becomes almost too easy, then you just pummel them until they're unfrozen, and repeat that until dead.

there is a lightning claw, I've found no lightning baton so far. I've been shopping for Alchemist amo, now the shops are sold out, I can't go blasting anymore. It is interesting to note that guns are no longer op vs boss. Ice guns > early boss, fire chain > the fire shield n throwing ice boss, lightning claw > bible boss.
I've upgraded all the weapons to lvl 4, I'd say Fire Chain n Ice Gun are the best, lightning claw is useful vs some, fire baton is sadly shadowed by the longer range fire chain
Alchemist Engineering build are pretty good, high elemental damage, high armor and high resist

I am just using halaberd cus it one shot or two shot regular enemies on charge attack (which has hyper long range) and pretty much stun lock boss and bigger enemies so they can't do ♥♥♥♥. So it's pretty broken ♥♥♥♥ cus I am OP as ♥♥♥♥.

I just shared. I Plan to play Chain till start
I choose Bodyguard Power now 15
Vigor/Endurance just 5
In this stat and fire Chain LV5
No problem in game. Never die with boss till now.

Pro. about chain is long enough to free hit and run
Maybe slow but i slow player type.

Con. is Element defense is worst.
I die sometime in 1 or 2 hits with Element attack.

Alchemy build with frost/fire batons, too easy...

I started and finished the game with the first halberd. No real reason to change, it made the entire game trivial. Maxed out power and vigour, and a few points into the others at random.

Been using Power/Durability build. It's probably the best build. Let me explain why.
There are basically 3 builds. Counter build requires agility/vigor/durability, alchemy build requires alchemy/engineering/durability, and then it's power build which only invests all your stats in 2. That's important because I beat the game without losing souls one time, did all the side quests, collected all weapons, and only got to lv48. Meaning that you only have 40ish points without NG+ (tho they promised ng+ coming soon)
This build mainly uses charged attacks. And your stamina actually recovers while charging, meaning that you don't need to worry about vigor. Lv3+ hammers or lv4+ spears basically knock down all enemies including titans with a fully charged attack (except those who cannot be knocked down). And you can charge up another during the time they got up.
The only problem with this build is that you are charging all the time, so you cannot unlock trophies like counter, defense, elemental damage, etc. in your playthrough
How you use full charge attack if all enemy attack speedy than you?
The AIs are not so aggressive, and they will walk toward you none the less. So you may wanna start charging at a distance and let them come over and take that charged attack.
Another trick is to dodge trough their attacks and use the time they turn around to charge.

Bodyguard. Maxed out Power, currently have my Health thing at like 7, Vigor at 5, and Engineering at 4. Been working pretty well.

I gotta say, I do like the "cap" being low like that, as every point does seem pretty meaningful still right up to the final one. Using the weapon you start out with as the Bodyguard at max level, the last point of Power I put in gave a 14-point boost to damage with the grade 3 damage thing equipped. Doesn't seem like much, but I've also noticed this game is a "lower number" one, so those small points are still significant.

5 power/agility falchion with starting alchemist using the frost rifle to freeze with a fully charged falchion+ sabre heavy attach with the modules that give more freeze damage + charged attack damage.
It dumpsters everything I've fought I just fought bishop cite and dumpstered him
I got 2 shot by his book because I dont have any points in endurance (stamina is for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥)
Beat him second time with only using 1 potion -shrug-
I don't think the game is very hard but also don't think its braindead.
It's just a nice little experience.

I finish the game at level 46 with just using the Ice Batons, along the way I got the Fire Baton and it seem to be all I need to finish the game. ended up with 10 power/20 alchemy/10 engineer/3 vigour/3 durability. although Alchemy felt like a complete waste of skill points because it didn't increase my elemental damage much at all, only my guns which I didn't like using as it felt off, I maxed it anyway.

Just finished my playthrough, without using the main healing potion, to get the Completionist Achievement. Overall an easy game, and i played without Assist Mode. Endgame weapon i used was Franklin Claws, they put out alot of damage

Though i duuno if it was a glitch, but the game clearly said that it made a save file for before entering Versailles, so i beat the game thinking i could go back and find whatever i missed, but nope, no save file.

I'll come back to the game if update with NG+

u guys finish so fast. 19 alchemist and 10 engineer now, quite tanky vs elemental and a bit weak vs physical, not getting enough alchemist amo as well.

The Grade 3 Physical bonus module bug for me, because my Power is 0. I put 1 point in Power and it works now :)
I think I should have gone 1:1:1 for Power Alchemist Engineer, the stats have interesting revamp for this game

Dancer and I've maxed agility first with level 1 perk of immobilization. Feels really good

Started as an alchemist with ice batons, fans, and musket. This evolved in to pumping AGI and maxing out nemesis claws. Feels good man. May tinker with Fire & Ice weapon for fun before it's over since it also has a counter. Here are my modules to support AGI & claws.
