Was a great but Mediocre Game for a "Early" Genre Clon in my Books.
I beat it Just once.
Hellpoint was for me the Best Indie Souls Like. GREAT GAME even If it was Janky.
Steelrising Looks to Trashy Like they only Made it because the Genre is popular.
There was No Love and Soul by the Production of this Game.
Hellpoint statement has to be a troll. It's basically The Surge but with far worse graphics, animations. sound, level design and enemy variety.. If you like Hellpoint, check out any game rated 3/10 on Steam or metacritic and you may find a liking lol. Steelrising is leagues above leagues compared to it.
TO BE FAIR
the surge was actually pretty fun, I played both of them and enjoyed them.
But yeah the jank and story were bootycheeks
No Hellpoint is the best Indie Souls to this Date (3D Souls Like... There are Better 2D Souls Like Like Salt and Sanctuary)
There was little Budget for this Game and its impressiv what they have done.
And now Look at A Game with a Budget from a Well known Publisher Nacon (BigBen)... At least Well known in France.
Steelrising is on a Level of a Indie Game for 50/60$.
And the Performance Problems and Janky Gameplay is Just a Joke for a Studio that is Not Indie.
Games like Surge, Remnant, Nioh, Ashen, and lately Steelrising- are much better than Hellpoint. Id say even Lord of the fallen is better.
