Does this game use AI voice?

I doubt it. But the DIRECTION for the voice acting is pretty bad. As someone pointed out, creators probably told the VA to sound distressed or frustrated all the time.

When you do voice acting, you do not want to sound like you are narrating or reading something, it should sound natural.
the guy in the game sounds like he's putting on the voice, and trying to make it sound "cool"
it just ends up being cringe.

Considering how many years ago it was since the demo released and it used the same VO in the final game it would be impossible for them to have used "AI". The tech simply didn't exist in a usable state at the time.
