As a developer you always have a vision of what you want to give the player, and your vision for this game is wonderful. Scientifically based work in the morgue, story and horror elements. a perfect mix. But is it your vision too to hold the player absolutely limited in his options? Playful freedom and independent action would absolutely not harm or change your concept and it would fit perfect. But without this freedom there is no motivation to even play through this wonderful mix. Because it's just a stubborn click through for predetermined interactions. The players' independent efforts are completely ignored. And the save points......please make a manual save option!
