Converting MMD models, having issues with the feet
I followed the instructions from the developers on how to import MMD models, but after setting it up I encountered a problem. The character's feet weren't behaving properly. The toes seemed to drag behind the foot. This may be because I used the latest version of Unity as opposed to the one specified, but the one specified is no longer on the Unity download page, so I can't use that. Has anyone encountered the same issue?

Had to install Blender and the CATS plugin for it (both free) but it was easy. Is there a walkthrough on that or am I on my own? I'm fairly new to this.

There's a guide in the community discord I made as well as on learnmmd and on youtube.

I'm having the same issue. I joined the Discord (https://discord.gg/yeegpKD). Is there a guide specifically for fixing feet?

So, this mean that we still follow the guide to import models from mmd to unity and can't load the pmx file directly to make models? So unity is still the engine of that?

I've been using the CATS plugin for Blender to fix shoes not attaching to feet, among other problems. Be sure to import with physics and use the development version of CATS' option to retain rigidbodies and joints so that you do not lose your physics. However you can also do this in PMXEditor by reparenting the shoe bones to the correct foot bone. Feel free to ask questions in the Discord, I am always willing to try and help.

Admittedly writing up guides is something I've been meaning to do but haven't because things are still changing rapidly. It's better to ask questions directly. All the information is in that Discord if you search for it as well. I'm sorry it's disorganized, but I want to wait for the processes to remain consistent first. The app updates every day, multiple times a day even. Our tools and processes to fix things changes frequently as well as we discover new techniques.
The author of this thread has indicated that this post answers the original topic.
