Even then, what you really want with rogue is attack speed at least 50% ( around 100% seem to be the best compromise between attack speed and stam loss) and as much raw damage plus magic damage as you can. You'll melt bosses like that. And pretty much every mob. It is even better once you start using desert and oasis.
I'll try and screen shot it next time it happens so I can share it here.
Yeah Loops 8-10 are about the "max" you want to face a boss with any character build. Of course Camp Items change this since Camp Items are broken once you start hitting "critical mass" with slots by spamming houses.
Did you mean Counter? Because there is no "Parry" in Loop Hero.
Counter still makes you take the damage of being hit but you get a "free" attack on the enemy that triggered it. I say "free" because, AFAIK, counterattacks do not cost any stamina. Furthermore, I am fairly sure(like 80%) that an attack you Evade can also trigger a counterattack.
So what may have caused you to think along this "Parry" mindset is that you had pump Counter and were Evading and counterattacking. (Or you had high defense/camp items that either reflected the damage or made enemy attacks do ~0)
Though I agree with your sentiment; Rogue works "best" by pumping Counter with a little bit of Evasion. At ~50% Evasion but 70+% Counter you'll be getting in a lot of "Free Attacks" while avoiding a good amount of damage. I see everyone saying "stack Attack Speed you need like 150+%!" but, IMO, that's a horrible idea since you'll burn stamina insanely fast. You might be able to get away with that during Boss fights but against 3-5 Mobs you'll be taking a lot of extra damage you would have likely avoided. (Kinda wish Swamps/Bandits had a card interaction that increased Stamina Regen or something)
If that's true, that is such lazy design. Then again, so was the stam cap with no real thought put into it. Then again that is obvious since it was rushed in between beta and launch.
But yeah, guaranteed hits just seem so phoned in. Why have a stat? I remember now why I stopped using blood groves all together lol
Yeah, usually when I counter I also dodge. Both seem to be going at the same time the vast majority of the time at least. I would not be surprised if they both come from the same dice pool and result TBH.
Ah, no worries. English is quite a weird language that doesn't help translations.
Anyway, my experience has roughly been the same as yours. More often than not you will Dodge and Counter in the same attack. IMO, focusing Counter is the "best" stat for Rogue as it allows you to bypass Stamina.
I don't follow the logic - why not have blood Groves?
About stamina - if the game didn't have it, there would be no downside to stacking attack speed to oblivion.
