Otherwise yes it gets pretty nut. I left a game running last night with a maquis warrior fighting swamps/spiders and using witches. I was running level 50 equipment and was dead at loop level 250 when I got up this morning.
The synergy of free potions and strong aftertaste is available from the first time you get witches, and that is what makes the attack so insane. I'm at loop 377 now, and my damage is up by more than 5k due to strong aftertaste.
The Vampirism and regen were just to make strong aftertaste activate every fight, as enemy damage increased, I eventually removed it in favor of counter gear.
So yes, I may be WAY post-endgame, but this build could be done much sooner.
Witches actually allows people to use swamps early before bottomless vial, lots of extra supply potions, and other stuff.
Like before, I saw no one use swamps in legit builds. Too much downside with little benefit. now I can see them using it.
Since I posted this, they made witches less OP by making each hut reduce your max potions by 1, thus making it much harder to pull this off.
