advantage of spiders and swamps?
Hey guys, what is the advantage of spiders and mosquitoes?

as far as ive seen they dont or give drop any unique items so wouldnt it just be better to remove the cards from the deck to get other cards more often?

also do you guys usually play with a maxed out deck or as few as possible?

Spiders are the best card in the game, you should probably not drop that unless you play necro.
Swamps make vampires kill themselves with their life leech.

Do explain how spiders are the best. From what I've seen they drop bad gear so maybe exp they would be good but I doubt thats even worth much.

If you play Rogue, you don't care what the spiders drop as all they drop are trophies. Spiders are easy for the Rogue and numerous.

Spiders are pretty easy to kill, so they're useful if you need to farm some orbs of expansion.

spider is quick to respawn (1 spider/ day), perfect for farming card drops and xp

I play with a smaller deck. 12 is usually what I am for. Swamps are great if you don't rely on vampirism or regeneration. Mosquitos will kill everything in the battle from biting you.

Spiders let you fight a ton of weak enemies, which means a lot of terrain cards. I don't know exactly how terrain drops work, but whenever I do a run without spiders it takes forever to get the spawn anything worth fighting.

Swamps suck, though.

12 is pretty thick by my standards. I try to aim for under 10.

They are something to fill the side of the loop so you can complete treasuries, 1 skeleton spawns every 3 days and a spider every day so spiders can limit skeletons to 1 without lanterns, they give you tons of card draw, they are easy to kill and feed blood groves with while also surpressing the much stronger ratwolf spawns.

And if you play rogue, spiders are all you need to dominate the game because the loot is calculated by ammount of enemies killed.

Wow you guys are pretty expansive I usually just hone 1 or 2 resource with a 7~8 deck.

Typical ration run
crypt, grove, blood grove, outpost, meadow, rocks, oblivion.

Typical wood run
crypt, village, blood grove, outpost, forest, rock, oblivion.

Typical alchemy run
crypt, village, blood grove, outpost, bookery, forest, rock, oblivion.

The ideal was to farm articles pages then use alchemy to repurpose it to any other resource.

I did say under 10. My necro one is Village, Ruins, Vampire Mansion, Bookery, Forest, River, Desert, Oblivion, and Ancestral Crypt. That's 9 including gold, or 8 without.

I see, gold card do not increase deck count you can safely exclude them.

Yes, Ancestral crypt is a more safer option compare with arsenal if you ask me.

Of which, I am thinking on doing a forest desert boss run next....

Yeah, just fought Act 4 with Necromancer. If I hadn't taken Ancestral Crypt with this build he'd have killed me when he turned off my magic HP. Instead I had a huge pool of hp to soak while waiting for the magic hp to come back.

All in all it was an interesting fight. Now I'm looping till infinity.

Spiders are great because they swarm. Rogue kills grant trophies, and he doesn't care for creature type, just the amounts of it.
