Are villages actually bad?
Sure they heal you, but hey also triple a random monster's health (without any extra benefits such as more exp). Also they cause bandits to appear who can break your gear.

Does anybody else use them?? thanks.

You can place a vampire mansion next to the village and bandits cant go into them.
And you can get good gear from quests.

I like it, ye they give a random monster +200%hp, but they give u an extra item.
And idk if add extra mobs are bad, more loot for the base.


If you put a vampire right to a village after 3 loops they heal u a lot more, and give u "better" reward..... ha! >.<
But idk if that is nice, 3 loops.....

villages are very good for the extra loot generation and hp. They act as a spot where mobs don't spawn so you can alternate between cards that spawn range units. In order for village to be great at healing you'll also need to build up your supply

Use oblivion to destroy the bandit camps. I refuse to place a village that will spawn an encampment until I have oblivion ready.

I used them a few time in the demo when I either still didn't knew better or to make infinite loops, and a few more time in the full version to take screenshot and test things. They are god awful imo but I can see why some people love them. I don't like Wheats either but obviously if you like Wheats you'll need Villages so that's a +1 for team Villages.

I think that's a waste, it's better use oblivion on the goblins, I think they are more dangerous.

Well, if you complete the quest, the next you come to the village you get a reward, it seems you get more experience than just without them.
Also turning them into ghoul villages by placing a vampire mansion near them gives them a huge boost to heal and the quest. You could delete the mansion after

You can also just place laterns, spider nests or really anything else on both sides of the road before placing a village in the middle of it to prevent bandits from spawning. Only requirement is that there is no free space next to it off the road.

Didn't have a problem with bandits. Put an outpost next to the town. Or oblivion the bandit camp. Or make sure you have something covering the spots outside of your villages.

Well you can always place a village to block the goblin camp, then obliterate the bandit camp. Also if there's nowhere for a bandit camp to spawn, say cos a goblin camp is taking up the spawn space, it won't.

they are not that bad in the beginning; but i noticed very early on that if one of the higher level monsters becomes tagged as questmob things can go south very quick;

take them if you feel lucky, i usually pass on them
