So, what is the benefit of using beacons?
Before the demo, not really, after it? I think so, properly, sometime. Things to keep in mind is that it stack multiplicatively with your own attack speed and that it doesn't affect bosses. Since you can get obscene attack speed with Thickets and Rivers and that Stamina only cut your attack speed in half, ultimately, you benefit for it more than monsters and get to kill many monsters quickly at the start of a fight before they can damage you or stack debuffs. I still wouldn't use them often, but sometime.
GO
FAST
There's also synergy with the Brass Candlestick (does not stack).
I use them for my Rogue runs. My Rogue keeps telling me, "Speed is good."
