Necromancer overpowered
Personally i find that necromancer is overpowered, i did not max any buildings and did not have level 2 cemetery and i am able to breeze through the final stage with high attack speed and about 5 skeletons while I am unable to do so with the warrior or rogue, I usually get wiped at the 2nd boss.

necro is imo by far the worst class when it comes to lategame scaling.
Lorska Mar 19, 2021 @ 3:21am
Why do you need lategame scaling though?

The thing with necro is that neither supplies nor item drops really matter to him, so as long as you get talents (easy with suburbs) you kinda win by default...
In return the clear time is super slow.

The others benefit way, more from supplies and want to wait until good equipment drops.

I don't think any class is overpowered, they just fulfill different roles...

Not really sure what I am doing wrong at chapter 4. I manage to get to the last boss with necromancer:
200% attack speed
skelly lvl=loop level
able to summon 7 skeletons
75% summon quality

Yet I do not even survive till half his HP....

Is the key here to have multiple resurrections or something?

Meh, the right cards every class is OP, necro's biggest "bonus" is that it's almost impossible for him to loose to the angel, but yeah, they all can reach that "Ok, now the games on full auto until I hit resource caps" even without abusing the heck out of 40 houses and and a hundred supply items.

Haven them absorb hits with talent

The necro is certainly viable but it needs better itemisation. Like others have said, he scales the worst by far.
He's the most dependant on skills, so if you don't roll the right skills, it just makes your runs really bad.

I would wait until you can get skellies that are a couple above the loop. Don't need that much focus on skele quality and I had 150% attack speed at the end. Rest of the map was towns for faster perks.

Are you using ancestral crypt? That's how I beat him on necro. I had around 1700 hp and it just turned into a battle of attrition.

It is a wierd balance choice though. Super easy for clearing, just less so for late game grinding :P

Each has their own utility, for example with the rogue you can farm very very fast compared to the necro and it can kill enemies a lot more reliably.
the warrior is the safe bet and if you build it like a tank it will smash anything.
necro is the boss killer, easiest way to kill bosses

Rogue is my go to for active farming, nothing beats the rogue clear speed.
Necro is my goto for AFK farming

Necromancer is too much at the mercy of RNG for me to really enjoy. His very functionality is tied too directly to his stats and traits to the point that beating Act IV is a complete and utter crapshoot in my experience.

Meanwhile, my first clear of Act IV was as the rogue, while trying to set up an infinite ruins farming loop rather than actually trying to finish the game.

Necro's kinda the opposite of Rogue here. He can cruise through enemies no issue but the boss is rough.
The problem is that Omega can occasionally nuke all of your skeletons, and his gear nullification can make getting them back difficult.
My solution was to stack as much "max skeletons" as humanly possible; the ranged skeletons can keep chipping away even if your frontline is struggling. You want the perks and +1 max on every piece of gear you can get it (without sacrificing too much skeleton level). If you can consistently manage to summon the ranged skeletons even when he's nullified a piece of gear, you should be good to go.

Skeleton level equal to the loop is dicey, you want 1 or 2 levels more if you can. I usually dedicate a ring slot to +level.

Did you have the talent that gives magic hp every skelly summon? I find that one really makes a big difference on boss fights if you get to too many loops beforehand.

You should be able to kill bosses ASAP . I usually finish Omega on lap 7 or 8 . The more you wait, the more it buffs. Aside from some imba perks on necro, a stable way is to get 4-5 skeletons and scale level = loop level (remember you fight Omega on a new loop). summon quality is absolutely useless after first boss, you could get 16% for faster and more powerful skeletons if you want, but initial skeletons are ok. Also at least one resurrection is a big helper

Dude what
Skeleton Guards are one of the best things in the entire game. I always want to have at least 50% quality so I can reliably get one of those out.
If something lets you go up against Blood Golems and not even blink, it's good.
