They get totally crazy if you wait a long time!
OR< you build as fast as possible to level as fast as possible
it becomes more and more fun , as you continue
Yeah. I did a chapter 3 run with the rogue and only focused on damage. When fighting the hunter my hero couldn't resist the long combat ;-;
I suck at acquiring vampirism items for rogue class ,and i hate that.. but.. that 5% is probably due to the super high crits that are possible,
and I choose the trait for 1000% damage regularly :D or a pet aid,
You can equip high amounts of counts chair, which can lead to pretty op builds. And yeah, trying is fun :v
I f*cking hate weird a** scaling enemies/bosses. [hated it when Dead Cells did it, until they luckily removed it again]
And I f*cking hate clicker games and dumb grinds that force me to spend hours doing grinding that isn't even fun.
This game combines everything I hate, and it embodies everything bad I used to claim about the roguelike* genre, before I actually tried some, and ended up loving them.
But this game ain't it. Glad I tried it though. And I will try it some more, because I feel like wasting some time before I move onto the next game.
frigging impossible, and yet people have done it.
I don't suck at video game, but that game just kicked my ass.
it's ironic because i bought the DLC and i haven't tried it yet because i'm still suffering PTSD from the vanilla.
playing 1 cells mode is really fun, but the difficultly curve, they turn it up to 11 in 2 cells mode.
like it goes from letting you heal after every boss battle, straight to no healing at all.
I dunno what 3 cells, 4 cells and 5 cells modes are like, because obviously, i never made it there.
but i did watch gameplay footage of a guy playing 5 cells mode and wondering how the frig is he so good at it. . .but of course, he does lose a lot of his runs and he just takes it in stride as it's part of the game.
but i get frustrated when i spend 200 hours at something and can't beat it.
i mean, if it's a story driven open world sandbox RPG like skyrim or witcher or Elex or something, i could spend 200 hours having fun.
but if those 200 hours are just spent replaying the same levels over and over and never making progress.
now, i love roguelikes. this is a roguelike. and as you play a roguelike, you get better at it. learning the tricks. but sometimes, they design it such a way where they cap your levels and abilities and no matter how many times you play, you will never be any stronger than you are at the cap and then they design the endboss so you just barely win with perfect play, at the cap and still lose a lot, that's when i rage quit. .
Didn't matter his damage with my summoning speed. And skeletons taking the damage.
That's not the issue. Apparantly I waited "too long" to fight the boss - according to other topics talkin g about the scaling. I don't even know what to believe or how to logically go from there? Do I fight on loop 10 or do I loop as long as I want.
I was on loop 20, awesome gear that carried me just so easily through the loops - but apparantly that almost 5k hp boss thought otherwise of my gear.
Really no f*cking clue here.
