Hard, Evil, Weird. ..

i'm just wondering, i noticed that these 3 games (Hard West, Evil West, Weird West) all came out around the same time.

they all seem to be from different developers, but it seems more than a coincidence that 3 games all with similar titles all came out around the same time.

are these games all connected somehow?

Weird West is a genre that has developed over the last couple of decades, largely popularised by the deadlands RPG. These games are all the same genre and twist the Wild West so it's not that surprising a coincidence. The main surprise to me is that Weird West wasn't the first name used as it has shown up a lot.

yeah, i asked this same question on one of the other games, and i guess it is just a coincidence. yhere was a few months between each game, but they all practically released within a year of each other.

and hard west 1 was many years ago, so they may all just be inspired by that one.
this one is obviously the sequel. .and then there's an FPS one called Blood West.

that naming convention "Something West" that every game has seemed like more than a coincidence. I dunno why they all thought of the same thing at the same time.
