Weird West VS: Hard West 2

Which one should I pick up or both?

I mean one is a turn-based strategy and the other is a like a real time action rpg shooter. That should probably be enough of a difference for your to figure out which is most likely to please you.

Short of the american far west fantasy setting, I'm not sure they appeal to the same demographics so you'll probably have limited feedback with experience in both.

And as with every other similar question, you'll generally have a biased response based on which of the games' subforum you ask since people more likely to participate in the forums here are those that have some appreciation of HW2.

I played both but I got a bit tired of Weird West near the end. Not that it is a bad game, but it felt a bit repetitive after some time. The characters are well written - in my opinion - and the setting original, but the gameplay and fights were too much of the same.
I generally prefer turn-based strategy but I also love real-time tactics (I love Desperados 3 for example) ; in the end I had a better time overall with Hard West, whether it's the story, the gameplay or the voice acting. I guess you could get both, they are quite different besides the setting.
