It's case by case basis where you live. A Gaming VPN like GearUp Booster is different from your standard VPN where it anonymizes your location and cause more lag.

A Gaming VPN like GearUp Booster reroutes things closer to your server. So let's say you're from UK/Britain and the server is in Russia, it will reroute it closer to Russia something like Germany and making it more stable instead of it directing it to public nodes that are congested.

In theory it should lessen your ping but it doesn't give much of a difference. It can go from 80-30 ms ping differences. Other GamingVPN provides better nodes closer to the server, you don't have to use GearUp Booster for that matter. It's trial and error, don't expect much. If other people says it works on them it's because they're on a different country that's closer to the server or have better nodes. You have to see it yourself and do trial and error, nothing is perfect.

The thing is, this game uses multiple servers so only works on 1 server. It doesn't work all the time.
