Just checked all paths mentioned and there isn't a crash folder in Local/Strinova and no Strinova crash dump in the /Local/CrashDumps, though other games do have files there.
Decided then to check every kind of log inside the Strinova steam folder and I found out something curious. My game crashed at 03:04am (discord being helpful) and there is a log in the Strinova/Launcher/log about that session that shows that the launcher came with its closure message "Debug/(0): CoreSystem Destructor" a couple minutes (02:52am) before my crash and that was where the log ended. I definitely didn't close the launcher myself. The following session which had no crash has that message at the proper time.
Also today I did notice that all Steam overlay features stop working sometime before a crash happens.
As for the UAC prompts. Just a selection of games and Apps that trigger that for me:
- Steam
- Strinova Launcher
- FFXIV(Launcher)
- Battle.net Launcher
- Nikke(Launcher)
- Hoyoverse Launcher
Depending on the UAC settings, any program that can download files while also editing the registry entries and the like will trigger the prompt. Because the game cant configure the drivers or crate the needed registry entires without the permission.
But also simply because they need the right because else they cant start up the game exe, because thats what this blocks, a program starting or running other programs on its own. So without the priviliges the strinova launcher cant start the Strinova game.
So dont know what the fuss baout that is, it has always been like that. And some launcher even have the option to start them with admin priviliges all the time to not get asked all the time..
Also a lot of Unity games ask for persmissions for some reason to read and write in the unity cache in appdata...
Also if you click details on the UAC prompt, it literally says "verified publisher: yada yada ltd etc"
I mean heck even the installation exe of battle net gives me the prompt... i would be wondering i would get the UAC prompt while playing strinova... xD
I have tried every alternates such as
"verify files, running it admin, going through the files, reinstalling the games etc AND EVEN TRY DOWNLOADING IT ON MY OLDER COMPUTER which worked just fine"
but lead with the same launch screening saying " please use the steam client to run this game"
also have tried asking other friends to download the game and they haven't run into any issues, nothing worked.
( currently running windows 11 ) if that helps idk.
The matches stopped running today, although everything was fine before that. It lags first before uploading to the match and then the download is at 0%
rtx 2060

32gb ddr5
There is no error, no warning, nothing. Any idea what is wrong? I have checked the game's files integrity multiple of times, this is the first game that this happens while I play.
Thanks in advance <3

CLOSE LOG!
in the main menu its normal -> when i play the game it goes from 165 FPS to 8.. and Laggs again
Ryzen9 7950X3D / RTX 4070 TI / 6000mhz 48 gb Ram
That isn't the cause it is closing. The close log there only means it will stop logging. My launcher doesn't instantly close and every file in the CrashSightLog folder looks exactly like that.
Following on my previous post, I've been refraining to take screenshots with Steam and the crashes are gone. The game really has something that is conflicting with Steam overlay. If I take screenshots with it, eventually one attempt will fail and the fps will go down to 50 (I get it comfortably over 160 normally) for a few seconds.
After that, if I alt+tab the game launcher and Steam will have crashed already. It is only a matter of switching menus for the whole game to crash then.
