spread control reduces the spread of your bullets and is good for shoulder aim
recoil reduces recoil when you shoot ads or shoulder
personally I use recoil if the character has such upgrade
- If you aim down sight (ADS) a lot then go for recoil.
- If you usually like hip firing during 1-0.5 meters engagement then go for spread control.
SMG's best upgrades are spread control for spraying & praying, run & gunning play style. Others would prefer other ones also depends on the map. ADS is usually meant to shoot farther areas with accuracy but role of SMGs are close quarters.I'd like to add misconception about SPREAD CONTROL is that it does NOT decrease SPREAD but prevents it from expanding. If you rarely hipfire it's not advisable to use it.
For Assault Rifle, Recoil Control is better to compete against Snipers and Assault Rifles in medium to long range distances. You'll lose to an SMG still in an equal setting due to their rate of fire so spread control isn't ideal.
Shotguns would have to rely on spread control a lot compared to sprint speed. Majority of the enemies are together so going sprint speed isn't ideal unless there's a Fragans on your team boosting everyone's Movement Speed + your Sprint Speed making a huge different on everything.
Don't use SPREAD CONTROL if you have a crosshair that disables DYNAMIC CROSSHAIR (showing spread indicator) since it'll just be useless and you can't utilize it to the fullest.
Don't use RECOIL CONTROL if you rarely go AIM DOWN SIGHT. Shoulder Firing still has spread and is NOT the same as ADS.
None if it is better if you don't understand any of the upgrades if you don't know how to use them in any situation.
your scope spreads less with this upgrade which shows that the bullets spread less
- It reduces the DEFAULT base spread cone area making it accurate.
- It PREVENTS it from EXPANDING faster at the MAX spread cone for precise shots.
In Strinova, they used the 2nd and NOT the first. This is the misconception I speak off. They're NOT the same. I wasn't arguing with your post but in fact clarify the game mechanics in my own post.I saw that you often argue in other discussions
Something important to note is that Spread control does not always reduce the spread in ADS mode, for a lot of weapons it only applies to shoulder aim.
Recoil always works, but has the most notable impact when in ADS.
Check out the weapon where spread control applies and how strong the recoil control is to determine what works for your playstyle.
If you hipfire accurate, then spread control is almost always the way to go. If you ADS most of the time it matters on how well you can control the recoil to make consistent head/body shots.
this is how i shoot as flavia long range
