Personally, a change in voice in a character is one of my biggest pet peeves. I HATE when a character’s voice changes, and this is no exception. Especially when the reason is not even enforced such as this case.
To me, a voice is part of the character just as much as their looks and personality. So having it suddenly change just feels wrong, and like someone else not quite who I know.
Well now I feel like a jerk.
Didn't realize that the same VA just rehearse the same lines but in a different direction.
Just wished the people that told her to reprise the lines had some sort of poll and different takes of lines for us to pick which one sounds better.
Could be just me but again. I still don't like the new voice direction because like you typed before. A new voice or direction of the voice that was already established for a character before could change how the character is perceived to the audience that was used to the old one and new players establishing it for the first time in the future.
Thanks for the info.
