the only people i've seen survive were cheesy mings with ults or people abusing gimmicks like galatea with wall stringification and falling into the void on purpose (now this last one is fairly easy to counter but most of your team act like mindless cattles and just follow them instead of waiting at spawn)
now he's gonna report me to the mods 'cause i offended him
Also I always die when I run in first. So it is a form of, "I need to wait on everyone else, until I can do something in the end stage". But what if everyone realize this? Then all endgames will be just people standing back to not die, and the survivors win every game.
Maybe the survivors shouldn't be doing much damage, but just extreme knockback. So their only way of winning is to stay alive, not to kill the infested.
But if a lot of sh1ters from my ranked teams stick to it more, I'm all for it.
well there's many directions this gamemode could be taken. you could take inspiration from halo infection or css zombie and make something great. or even do something completely unique; however they way it is right now is just not unique
It is a very casual free game mode, and perfect for training your aim in scary situations due to the crystallines' huge movement speed and jump height that nobody's really used to.
Besides that, the only dislike to that is the RNG agent selection.
Out of about.. Five or six matches, only one I had the chance to play Kanami; The rest of them was I forced into other ones, and Kokona only appeared during the first time just like Kanami.
The rerolling option is there, but it can be done up to one time; Any further, and it requires Bablo Crystals to be paid, and that's just.. You do get the idea.
The upgrades do make it somewhat interesting, but I do dislike the RNG factor tied to it; The moment a superstring or crystalline receives a card for higher jump height, they've already won about half of the round.. Because being able to jump into the heights as a superstring that the crystallines can never reach unless you receive the specific cards to evolve or get extended jump height, you can't do anything.. But hope to collect the shattered crystals to gather the jump height cards.
And then, the enemy reaches me and I die instantly. Okay, next round I tried stacking more evenly for survivability- Definitely not killing anything now, but at least I didn't die instantly. Progress....? I tried a bunch of builds but never really was able to deal what seemed like significant harm to the enemy, and to even approach doing something that could be called 'damage' I had to sacrifice survivability which never ended well.
Meanwhile, I'm watching some rando Yvette camping up on the highest reach of the map where the enemies simply cant reach, and when the enemy buys jump power to get up there, they jump across to try and attack and get instagibbed in one swing of the sword.
And Oh, When I was one of the enemies, FML. So much knockback from the superstrings, and getting sworded to death prevents you from respawning?!?
Could've been fun. But, instead, It was a very frustrating experience that I'd really rather not repeat. I wish I didn't have to play it for the event.
Its like that Halloween mode in R6 siege but much more worse.... Kinda not fun laying 20 bullets in a monsters face and they'll one slash me to become a mutant.
It seems like this mode expects that youve mastered super string movement i think thats the only way to actually play this. Seems like not a fun mode for casual.
It's fun but I prefer Team Deathmatch.
I think they retired from strinova nearly last month after some new anime game launched.
Is Kanami or Kokona even good in the mode? I've noticed their low rate of fire is converted to really strong single push-backs. But I don't know if it is worth it if you are trying to kill the infected.
