But yeah, it's not only about that, but also about how they handle little things. And for now the signs are not optimistic.

Could be the sunken cost fallacy kicking in but all games come and go eventually. But depending on what it is depends if it'll live on it some way, shape or form.
I literally played this game mid December to see if it's fun or not.
It is but there are a LOT of issues that comes with the price of finding something that is enjoyable.
Like you typed on the start the only thing that separates Strinova from the crowd is the paper mechanic and... that's about it. While the shooting for me is serviceable it doesn't always stick the landing sometimes due to me picking a character who's should fire has random spread instead of predictable spread.
I don't keep track on how advertising is done but I do know that there aren't enough rewards and modes to keep the f2p's around long enough for them to stick around and consider buying the pass and the only reason you'd buy it is if you really like the game.
Balancing is hard. But i'm not a total tryhard sweat that grinds in hoping to become an esports player to know the ins and out of the mechanics. I'm a guy trying to learn how to draw stuff and failing constantly due to life having other plans for me whether I like it or not it's gonna crunch something from me.
If you're gonna add a Gacha mechanic in this game they should've give a sequence at least every 2 or 3 levels instead of 5. A sequence every level up sounds nice but that's a very unlikely thing they're gonna to do due to fact they gotta eat somehow. They just did it in a very scummy way.
Matchmaking is not bad or good because it's mixed depending on which modes your going for and whether or not your just trying to have fun. It's serviceable at best.
Unlike Ranked Matchmaking but I don't play ranked unless it's for a demolition quest to grind out rounds effectively and with the amount of lower ranks getting mixed up with higher ranks it's pretty bad. Because when I rank up to atom (silver) or molecule (bronze) I expect to be playing against those of the same rank or someone getting tossed into the rank ups (ie bronze being tossed back in forth to silver then going back down to bronze again) and with the amount of players not liking ranked... it's pretty reasonable why ranked players are complaining why no one is going to ranked (Because no one wants to waste their time trying to rank up when they're going down a lot.)
Is it indeed a skill gap and issue? Yes. But no one starts out as a pro and knows what to do. (That experience is learned from playing other games or is similar to it or lots of training) On the survey a when I started playing I check that the game has a easy to learn but hard to master kind of curve when it comes to playing because every character is unique and everyone is gonna main someone that they're most comfortable with.
I still like the game but there's a LOT of stuff that needs to be done in order to succeed in the future and the wait is not going to be worth when people start quitting, have busy lives, find better games than this one, or just wait till the game gets better.
All the current players in the game right now is hope that it gets better in the future but that future is kinda unknown and bleak due to live service games... don't survive if they don't constantly being worked on and get updates on a nearly monthly basis.
Anyway i'ma go back sulking somewhere around the discussions page for this game or TF2's while trying to play games that I like or learning how to draw anatomy and failing for the 470th time. I hope you have a good day.
So i dont know about this statement.
This is not true. One of the developers has literaly had 2 AMA's on the forums where you could ask questions and get answers. Multiple threads asking for feedback and giving answers and updates as well.
The playerbase has asked for; Region lock removal and Controller support... and the devs have removed the region lock and are working on controller support as we speak.
We got new characters, but i do get this point. Waiting for content for a game can sometimes feel long. The comming season however has been communicated to have new maps, and gamemodes. So stuff is most certainly comming.
This is also a choice, if they want to keep the playerbase small at first until it has more content or until they remove some issues. Then thats also a way to ''have the game out there'' and let people passionate play and collect feedback. Either way i do agree that it would be nice if they did better advertisement.
Overall i think the game is in a healthy state, i wish there was more already but on the otherside im just happy the playerbase is stable and the devs communicate and work on it the way they do.
I will keep playing for quite some time to come as well.
Hey thats a nice response. Seems like I definitely had some major blind spots that I should have checked.
I still believe the prices are slightly too high even for western standards. I guess it would be nice for CN and Global to be on similiar terms then, if it kinda backfired from the CN side regarding global. If they plan on just gathering passionate players to get more valueable feedback, I guess it makes sense. But even so, it looks pretty unreasonable if it comes to get "bigger". But im no expert so let it be at that.
I will still think the game will stagnate, while the healthy active playerbase will stay.
not even that but dmg registery is absurd
sometimes you kill your enemy and the next guy next to him becomes invincible
and plus, no returnal events or anything
yes, gathering Pulls as a F2P is a pain in the ass
and I haven't played this game for a month
but I decided to check it back again
and got greeted with an empty events menu. at least show me something so I could play my game and achieve something
there's literally nothing to play for. and I'm not a sweaty pro to go for ranks.
CN version is getting fed up like a 6 months old child crying and begging for food and comfort
yet the global is deserted like it's not even exists (Average Chinese developer)
100 euro/dolars gives you 60 pulls... you need 80 for a pitty legendary. And then you need another 80 for the skin that belongs with it (gun/character).
Thats 266,67 euros for just a guaranteed legendary.
That is expensive for most people, so i dont think its intended for everyone.
Still we do get a decent amount of free pulls.
Disagree, you get literally no free pulls at all if you dont take level progression into account.
