And I don't suggest you even if it was: Requires accuracy, it's not like Marvel Rivals for example.

Although some have mentioned it works with the steam deck while some topics mentioned it stoped working with it. So not sure how well it currently works.
It probably is a great time to get used to the game with M&K and then switch to a controller later when it is supported if you favor that. Then atleast you know what the game is like and how everything works.
I suppose that if the devs add controller support would be nice but I wonder how they are gonna implement it, the gameplay requires accuracy at aiming. Not as accurate as Counter Strike, but still.
For Controller you also aim with your characters movement, since you have both joysticks. The aim joystick (right) is for the general horizontal aim, and vertical adjustment. While your character joystick (left) is for microadjustments of the crosshair.
Using them both together well allows you to flick shots accurately.
We currently have a standard of importing console players to competitive games, that are often a lot younger and have a lot less skill. But controller works just fine for shooters without having much of a skill difference in people who put the same time and effort in (as M&K).
I have used it in the past for Destiny 2, and it works perfectly fine. Its actualy surprising how natural controllers feel once you use them for a bit.
Who knows, i might even give it a shot in the future when i buy a new controller myself.
I dont think a PS4 controller works on a pc, otherwise i could even try that.
Well, may i suggest since you can't crouch in this game just assign it to the crouch button. For some games is pressing the right stick, others use the right face button (B on XBOX).
LoL the aim support doesn't work whatsoever in this game.
