Also i never argued that she is broken , i argued that it doesn't make sense to have wallhack as the REWARD for being able to press a Button.
The first rule of game balance is that the stronger an ability is the harder it should be to pull it off , well Wallhack is the best ability by far and pressing a button is the EASIEST thing to do.
Lawine (team walls, safe to use)
Michelle (deploy and forget, passive)
reiichi A3 (deploy and forget, team walls,, AND vision denial)
nobunaga A2 (deploy and forget, team walls)
kanami (admittedly not too great but at least gives team walls, safe to use)
galatea (weakest of the bunch scan wise but they are the most immediately threatening imo guaranteed info most of the time)
Yet fuchsia's q is stronger than them despite:
only scanning for herself
only scanning very briefly
requiring relatively close proximity to reveal targets
requiring she herself to entry for it to be threatening
literally the only edge her scan has over the others is that its immediate, theres NO other advantage. Yes its a reward for pressing q, Q is the button u press to use ur ability which gives value to u or ur team thats how the game works lol
Yes you can argue OTHER characters skills are similary or a lot WORSE then F-uchsi's and i could easily agree.
Do you understand ?
In good hands most skills can be powerful, even activate and profit/forget. And most skills can also be countered with similar skill.
I dont see Fuchsia's ''Q'' being all that strong, her Q duration is very short so being a one button press is honnestly in line with the result. Ming her Q is also one button press, so is her ult, similar power and effect for the same amount of effort.
I get the idea that one button ability activation seems strong or unwanted. But in a pvp shooter you cant exactly make every ability a quick-time event, since that does not work either. For stronger or longer lasting abilities, having multiple imputs required or a longer activation animation makes sense. But when something is rather short or weak, it would just bog down gameplay.
no u have lost me
Ming Q ALLOWS FOR COUNTER PLAY ( it's a slow moving orb ) , F-UCHSIA'S PRESSING ONE BUTTON DOESN'T HAVE COUNTERPLAY AND THE WALLHACK ITSELF DOESN'T HAVE COUNTERPLAY
1) The STRONGER a character ability is the MORE SKILL it should require to pull it off
2) EVERY ABILITY SHOULD have COUNTER PLAY.
Does F-uchsia's Q ability satisfy these rules ? no , in fact it's the OPPOSITE
1) All it takes to pull it off is pressing a button i.e. THE EASIEST CONDITION and the reward is WALLHACK i.e. THE STRONGEST ABILITY
2) Does the ability have counter play ? No you can't stop F-uchsia's from detecting you and the wallhack doesn't have any counter except moving wich only works against potato aim players
Considering how this topic has been going, and your use of CAPS LOCK... i doubt there is any point in giving suggestions or tips on how to counter abilities. But im generaly willing to help others get better at the game.
Play Galatea, Nobunaga, Lawine, Reiichi, Kanami, Michele that have wallhacks of their own.
Play Kokona, Nobunaga, Celestia, Flavia, Ming, Audrey can out tank Fuschia.
Play Galatea, Baimo, Meredith can out position Fuschia with their hyper mobility.
Play Leona in the future update and block areas like Fortnite.
When Fuchsia activates her Q and you get scanned, you generaly know where she is comming from and her approximate distance. This based on the mapshape (corridors/rooms), locations of your teammates, and last known locations of the enemy player(s). On top of this you know the gamemode and how important it is for Fuchsia to push in that situation, if its demolition they will have to push after the Q or lose the advantage for quite some time. Same for other gamemodes.
When you see Fuchsia red scan effect but dont get scanned by it, you know her exact distance from you so you can use that to your advantage as well.
If you get scanned and you want to counter Fuchsia, then you either have to use abilities that deal damage or frag grenades, or use abilities that slow or throwables that slow.
This will put you at either an equal playing field or at an advantage when fuchsia pushes, and if they dont push then both parties have lost resources equally.
Characters like Ming or Michelle can simply use their abilities to deal damage and slow an incomming Fuchsia, Maddelena can slow an incomming fuchsia with her Q. If you dont have those type of abilities to counter her, just use any grenade that gives a similar advantage. Frag so Fuchsia takes damage when she pushes, Slow or windstorm grenade to slow the push and give yourself an advantage in fighting her.
If a Fuchsia does not push after you use your ability or throwable but falls back or rotates instead, you have just gained important information on that player and their playstyle/confidence. You can then decide based on whats going on around you if you want to push the Fuchsia that is now out of Q, or instead do something els.
Just because another player instigates something, does not mean you are at their mercy and cant turn that in your advantage.
As long as you have the right tactics to use it to your advantage as much as you can, and counter it... that is what matters.
If there actualy is no counter to an ability, then ill have issues with that as well. But Fuchsia's Q is not one of those. If only gives her an advantage for a single button press... if the player in question does nothing against it or is about to die anyways.
I don't think you ever played any kind of shooter game grinding ranked before this did you ?
