Why is the jump and spray so accurate and damaging on this game?
There will be someone who is like 30-40 meters away, they will jump and shoot you, then you die within 200-300ms. Like, how is it so accurate? What is the logic behind it? It seems more accurate than normal shooting. When people do that to me, I notice a high percent of headshots. Why would jumping and shooting result in such a high headshot percent, especially so far away?

If being elevated improves your recoil control and head shot percent, that explains how Meredith does so well with that gun of hers and ability to glide.

200-300ms? You meant ping? or meters?

It's accurate because people use AIM DOWN SIGHT which removes the spread. It's not jumping and spraying but jumping and aiming mid air which also applies to Meredith and also applies to sniper.

No, Meredith's gun has less gun recoil among other agents due to her airborne ability which others find her overpowered. You can compare her to Audrey's skill mounted below except Meredith does it above and with a limited ammo equal to any AR agents at most.

They are likely cheating.

No, I am able to do it, too. I did it at 60m, even. I think I understand what is occurring, though. I was experimenting with it through deathmatches.

But what is your hit rate with that technique? >80%?

ms = millisecond, 100 ms in a second, so 2-3 seconds is him being a silly guy.

They're likely not at all lol.

Yeah currently there is no additional weapon spread when you jump, so as long as you ADS you get very accurate shots.
I dont like this personaly, because people are bunnyhopping a bit to much.
It does not have to be inaccurate, but having some penalty when jumping would be nice.

100ms = 0,1 seconds.
1000ms = 1 Second.

No, I know what a millisecond is but I just have to make sure since Americans use imperial measurement so there's a possibility he calculated it wrong with the measurement.

I have to take account for human errors since the person clearly has no profile picture nor could format text in the forum properly even so he could just use the actual 2-3 seconds instead of typing those extra digits.

You only use millisecond mostly for ping stability but in the context of the post it doesn't seem to be that way but using distance in accuracy.

30-300 meters in context is possible. He could meant jumping from spawn at the middle of the map in that regard or even more which is even plausible.

It makes it different because I don't recall any other FPS tactical games doing it this way. I guess it's more arcade style. I don't know if that is a good or bad thing. People are bunny hopping all the time. Snipers are hitting ridiculous shots while jumping, too. It feels a bit less tactical than it should to me.

However, maybe the jumping thing is a distinction they want. Maybe it adds to the "fun factor". I feel like long range penalties make sense, like decreasing the effective range. It makes even more sense to penalize the effective range of certain weapons while hopping, like snipers. Like jumping off a bridge and hitting a perfect headshot 30-40m away is too much for me, lol.

I was under the impression there is not much, if any, accuracy penality because the game is quite movement-focused what with paper mode and double jumping/gliding/sticking to walls and so on.

The devs likely thought no accuracy penality allowed for sick plays or something. An attractive to their game..

this is only accurate when you use ads over long distances
if you kill someone when you jump with shoulder aim at a distance of 30-40 meters, it's just luck and nothing else
I find surprising, that people don't bring the topic of how the SMGs and some ARs have insane accuracy, and almost no spread. because of that, they can make up for the loss of dmg. like Flavia's Vector can reach more than 1000 fire rate with buffs :spacemarineskull:
Afangun Dec 24, 2024 @ 5:15am
to be honest but I don't really notice changes in ttk when you take the fire rate
Afangun Dec 24, 2024 @ 5:17am
the most accurate weapons here from AR are michele gun and fragrans
smg is only for yvette and flavia and I'll be honest they are not as accurate as you think if you try to shoot with them at long ranges you will notice that you have to pull the mouse harder with the yvette gun and the flavia gun starts shaking left and right after a certain amount of time
