Ya'll need re-evaluate your reporting system. There's is no way I'm going to ignore an important phone call while playing this game. Keep banning people like this and you'll eventfully have no more player base left something akin to what Respawn and EA does for Apex Legends

Everything around censorship policing and the like is just a sour aftertaste and honestly seems beyond petty. Also having a bot play instead while you're AFK on an important call is dumb period!

Did you tell the people you were playing what happened?

AFK bans are from player reports I believe.

Clearly a pause button. The other players can wait if someone is on an important phone call.

That or perhaps call back up to people who phone you during an online game without pause.

just tell who ever is on the phone to call back
people would 100 percent report you on any game for going afk

If you're consistently playing ranked during periods when you receive important phone calls, That's a you problem.

Conversely, if it's an important/emergency call out of the blue like "Your wife was in a car crash we need you to come to the hospital", It's an infrequent event on the whole, It's not like you'll constantly get banned for it, and you SHOULD be paying attention to that, not fussing over whether you got banned.

A near equivalent would be as if you were on that important phone call and someone else called and you just hung up on the first to answer the second. That first important caller isn't going to be happy that you just abandoned that important call for something else, ESPECIALLY if that something else wasn't a sudden emergency.


To state it a different way, If you join a ranked game, You are committing to spending your time and attention to that game, If you fail to do so, Then you get punished. If you can't commit the time and attention from start to finish barring a sudden emergency, don't play ranked.

This is a game. If you honestly think that a game supersedes the real world, then there's something wrong with you. A family emergency doesn't warrant a ban and in pubs on top of that. How does being AFK in pubs ban you from ranked yet you can still play pubs. It's dumb!.

I've played with a bunch entitled folk like yourself yet it's a game. Don't take things too seriously!
You take away from it being just a game to relax with.

I hardly play ranked because it's boring and honestly playing against a 5 stack just isn't fun as a solo. I'm getting this ban for playing pubs. How does that warrant getting banned for ranked?

As an Apex Legends player, this game is nowhere near the level of skill required for ranked, That said, I have yet to come across another game that bans you from playing ranked because of afk in pubs.

If this was for cheating then ABSOLUTELY GET BANNED!! But it's not and it's dumb!

AFK bans are from player reports I believe.

Tell people what exactly? BRB/AFK is exactly what that says. If folks take offence well then that's dumb right. What more explanation is needed?
