If you and your friends played together and one of them improved, SBMM won't separate you and your friends because YOU and your friends wants to play together and the game doesn't STOP you from doing that. This segregation because you refusing to learn won't do a thing, it won't get added.
This is why bots gets added in low tier matches because no other players are within your skill level when you play like a low tier bot too.
Did you change the time you play at drasticaly, for example times many others might not play at. That might influence the matchmaking, or limit the players?
It could be that in your region at the times you play, there arent many players around.
Thats honnestly the only thing i can think about.
Most people probably play after dinner, in case that helps. Either way i hope your MM gets better soon.
Strinova is suppose to have Skill based Matchmaking (SBMM), that matches players based on preformance not on rank.
Rank is something for Ranked games only, and new players have not unlocked that by default. So im pretty sure this is about Challenge games.
Or play it like a gacha. Doing daily quests and than play in somthing that gives you fun.
I have choose second variant.
1. When did i say anything about refusing to learn, if anything, I believe I was adamant on trying to learn.
2. The training pits you against bots that are, well, bots. It's a completely different experience playing against actual players
3. SBMM should be designed to match me with players of similar skill. That being said, I should not go from normal, fairly matched games to games where I get stomped the entire time for no real reason.
4. I'm not currently playing with anyone, nor did I imply such, so I'm not sure where any of that came from.
Can't say I'm surprised to see this comment, was bound to be at least one person
The matchmaking in this game is so random, you can be 3 big fish + 2 small fish, or 5 small fish, or 5 big fish.
Make that with the fact give up is 4/5 vote instead of 3/5 vote, you have the most unholy double whammy.
I just stay here for 3 more months, if they don't fix it, then I'm just gonna move on to next game with better matchmaking.
I mean, it is what it is.
This guy is our local forum troll, picking fights with everyone and if there is nothing to fight about the guy makes up stories that noone ever mentioned.
Not worth the time to interact with.
Could be that the game noticed you Won very easly in the first few games and put you in a few harder matches to measure your skill level for now. Or it could just be tough luck and players that are your skill level just happend to play very good in those few games on the enemy teams.
Performance from noone is consistent, and people have good and bad days after all.
I cant currently recommend Ranked, since there is no skill based matchmaking there. You get put into games with people of the same rank, regardless if they are new players or pro players who just havent ranked up yet. But ofcourse your experience might varry.
Right now i would focus on Challenge and get familiar with the game. You can play Team Death Match for fast combat and aimtraining, Escort for a more objective based gamemode thats more calm but has time restraints. Or Demolition if you want to get into the very competitive part of the game. Team arena is just a shooting gallery, alright for aimtraining when you want to test characters or weapons out, but otherwise wont learn you anything.
I hope your future matches are better and you get the chance to learn and enjoy it more.
That being said, I just figured out how to specifically sort which game modes i want to play, I was wondering about that, since I've never been a fan of any sort of payload/escort game modes, but being a valorant player, i really liked demolition.
Anyways, thanks for your time, I'll keep up the grind, hopefully get into some better lobbies and everything will start to feel smoother.
