Who knows?
I played zombies infection like modes before...

And let me tell ya.
They are very disappointing if the zombies or INFECTED (Curse you Wow Such Gaming) do not look scary or intimidating to begin with.

And when they do? It works. But... seeing the majority of the core audience and player base for this game.
Someone is going to be edging over the crystal weird monster things.
I guarantee that after March 27th or 28th someone is going to grow an attraction for em.

A new mode is a very welcoming addition for this game.
I just hope more will come in the future to put a new spin on things or spice it up from the standard gamemodes.

I'm still waiting for a up to 12v12 chaotic version of Escort with no character limits because the idea of seeing a wave of might meows or a spam of light screens everywhere seems funny to me.
Also 8 Audrey's on the payload or on defense raining hellfire seems meme worthy to me.
Or if it's Leona spam it becomes literal minecraft on the defense.

You do now.
I was expecting it to be PvE like CoD.

These type of humans vs player zombies mode doesn't interest me.

Hmm...
It's ok but yeah I wanted pure PvE.

Disappointing.

Same it looks... OK.
PvE would have been better than this, it probably would not take much effort to make a zombie AI for outbreak mode and let people play against that instead. Although the map also looks kinda meh, not very replayable.
Hope im wrong, ill try it out atleast but it does not look that great.

I realy hope Strinova does not stray away too far from the shooter genre, otherwise it wont have a clear identity anymore.

If you read the recent roadmaps there will be 2 new melee weapons this year.

The most influential TPS of the past (GunZ 1) both use melee and ranged combat.

There is quite a difference between having melee secondaries... and adding gamemodes and characters in the game that dont even have a gun.

Rather. There is a huge difference between having melee secondaries and melee primaries.

Seriously. Barely remember anyone actually using gun in GunZ.
Don't need to be Zombies, i think shooting robots or mechas would be okay too

I rather it be robots or mechs given that superstrings are rather beefy compared to your average realistic soldier dude like CoD.

It could also play around their more versatile movement which is one of the fun things in the game, too. Compared to zombies who just walk towards you.. when you have even better agility than an average human. What's the point of that lol

If you read the roadmap again crystal faction characters will become regularly playable at Fall update.

Shotgun and Swords in GunZ is the meta playstyle.

Even worse, a character who uses Bow and Arrows.... in a game where characters can stringify and everyone is using guns.

Hence why i share my concerns about the direction of the game.
The game we have right now is a Tactical Shooter, and the playerbase is playing it because thats the game they choose to play. If you start adding non shooter gamemodes and characters to the game, then the game will lose its identity and they will have to pull in competely different players for those parts of the game.
I much rather see them focus their time and money on whats already in the game, and build on that. And not spend time on gamemodes and characters/factions that dont fit the current gameplay people espect from Strinova.

But thats just my thoughts, i hope the devs have not wasted their time on Outbreak and it does become a success. I just currently dont see that happening, but ill gladly be wrong.

I dont have high hopes for Outbreak either, coming from a PvE expectations.

But I do welcome more secondary melee weapons.

For sure, but not primary melee weapons :P
I hope the new melee weapons play different than the katana. Maybe something that requires more aim like a dagger or something. I know one of the weapons is going to be a Phaseblade and that might be a bit too similar to the katana, but i realy hope it has different attack paterns/range/speed/etc.
