That said i agree on the balance thing some characters seem a obvious pick over others fuchsia stands out to me as somewhat more on the broken side if you can kill. She basically has all the tools you would ever need build into her character.
I think it will be casual in the end. Even if it has ranked and such. Its not really a good shooter in that regard. You die so incredibly quick that its hard to face more then one person. Making it very hard to outplay people.
I can see the game having some tactics with the smoke grenades etc, but it seems to me like they just took good ideas from other games, put the 2d mechnic in and called it a day.
I mean i really love the art style and once you get used to the shooting and movement its not a bad game, but it lacks refinement and balance currently. That said its only beta i think so things could change when it comes to balance.
missing gun casing and voice acting
shotgun very bad
char skill useless
upgrade (press B) strange idea
I would like to create my own character with an editor and choose weapons and skills for him independently for the desired mode. But this would require too much change in the game concept.
On the other hand, there is a similar idea in Tower of fantasy.
You don’t want competition from the game, but you want a fun and simple process.
also a progression system. Skins are good, but without upgrading weapons, characters, etc., will the game be able to keep the player engaged? I played for 6 hours and felt like I beat the game.
On the other hand, there is the experience of Warzone with its battlepass, the desire to open many types of weapons.
But in STRINOVA, each character only has one weapon, and if I don’t like it, then I don’t want to play the character
anyway, I'm waiting for the release version and will play it. If the developer improves the shooting, sounds, balances the characters and modes, then the game will be decent at this level.
If the developer adds a choice of weapons and perks on the character, and not one fixed option, then the desire to get all the items will hold me back for a long time.
The more I play, the less the balance feels awful, however, certain characters deal a crazy amount of damage compared to similar other ones (in the same role). It's also somewhat annoying that something like shotgun is locked behind a male character that I'm not really that interested in. Actually, this is a plus and negative of the game in general. While it does make each character unique, it also sucks that if you prefer a certain playstyle, you might be forced to play a certain character you might not like.
I like Kokona for example, very cute character, but she's a sniper. I'm terrible with snipers and prefer close to medium range. As such, even though I like her, I won't be playing her much, if at all. Michele is another character I like, but compared to other AR characters, she's not that good. Letting characters swap weapons would probably cause too many balancing issues since the game is made like a hero shooter. This is an issue Wild Assault has. If anything, they probably just need to tweak the numbers.
Agreed the more i play the more things i find how to use the 2d concept of the game. Its actually quite fun to be honest. That said i have been playing demolition most of the time as i do feel its the mode that nails the balance best.
Im forcing myself to play both snipers currently as i like both of them. The only way to get better is to bite the sour apple and fail ... allot.
