Genshin Players say that stuff all the time and guess what? they spend their life savings on the game anyway.
Addiction is truly a B1tch. I can't see a different outcome on this game either.
Sure the companies are terrible now and i wont spend any money on it anymore, but back then i did enjoy those games and when a game is good i want to support development.
At the time i very much enjoyed the games, and i spend the amount of money on it that i think was worth it. Nothing more, nothing less.
I will do the same with every game, if i think the game is worth money ill spend some on it, when it gets bad ill spend less or no money.
Thats honnestly a good life advice in general, if you enjoy something support it for the amount you think its worth, if you dont then dont.
If games dont earn money, they cant be developed. And if you overspend, companies start using bad practices. Its up the you, the consumer on making the right decission and keeping the balance.
Yours sincerely,Chinese friend
If you're mad about the changes to loot crate type content in China, complain to Pooh Bear.
我很少用钱买游戏的东西。我玩儿应该没问题吗?我一定不会在这里花钱
Thanks again friend!
Your criticism about the game content is interesting. The pacing of the gameplay I think it’s mostly players’ preference, and as more game modes get developed we hope it can accommodate more styles. The matchmaking stuff is constantly being updated because it’s very tough to balance it right. Anticheat too is being implemented. All in all I welcome any kinds of discussions on the gameplay optimization. I may not be able to respond to all of them or accept all of them, but def keep them coming. Now, onto your other thoughts…
This is all public information, and people can check it easily online. We have a distributor in the CN game. We are distributing the game ourselves in the global release. I’d say that’s a rather significant difference… It affects how much the development can impact the release, and how well we can implement our vision. Moreover, we are not a small studio. As anyone who has worked, managed, or owned in a large organization of any kind would tell you, it is inevitable that there’s friction internally or externally. And you can find PR videos online where we discuss and acknowledged our hurdles. None of this is meant as apology or excuse… quite the opposite, I want to be as transparent as I can. Namely, of course we made mistakes. No studio, company, organization, or people can go about their life without mistakes. BUT, making threat, wildly personal accusations, and hateful comments, doesn’t seem like the right way to go about it. (I’m not talking about anyone specifically. As I have said, the reason why I engaged with this post to begin with is because I did not consider it malicious.)
It has somewhat become a meme, but every developer is a player. Of course, buying skins and other purchasing is great. BUT what we want more is for people to just… you know, play. That’s why it’s free to play. That’s also why I was so happy that people start making tutorial, here, on Discord, Reddits, YouTube, and so on. That’s the kind of community we want, people discussing how to win matches, what to upgrade each round, how to use each agents, etc etc. Lastly, I just want to say that games are meant to make people happy. I mean, that’s why we have them right? Otherwise what’s the point haha. Anyway, hope all of us can enjoy the game!!!
