So what am I supposed to do about not being able to claim my invite rewards since one of the friends I invited live in a different country? We didn't find out about region lock until after that, I can't form a party with them. Legit did anyone even think about that being an issue?

You just have to invite two friends and then click the button. You don't make an actual in-game party.

I cannot even log in to change my region as my account has found itself based in Korea which means i need a Korean identity validation before i can sign in... Please assist so I can log in to the correct APAC region.

I'm from asia n my friends are from europe I can add them in friend list but you can't play with them n you can't join they Union only because I'm in a different server n this is 2024 we should play different server

I am a streamer. And i love this game a lot.
I Always play games with all my friends while i stream, but this region lock sistem is killing all the fun for us.
So please allow us to play together!! The region lock just kills everyone comunity.
This hurts.
If this region lock will not be removed im forced to stop playing the game, and i do not want to because i love this game.
Please allow us to play with our friends.
You can do like apex Legends, the leader of the team decides the server. With this solution everyone will be happy!!!
Again, please hear my cry!! Because if the region lock continues everyone is forced to leave and the game will die!!! Plz save the game!!!!!! Please.

OK, a quick update on the region lock situation: obviously this is a pretty significant issue, and in many ways breaking the regions apart goes against the philosophy of the game, which is, well, people can play with each other. As many of you have noted, during the closed beta regions are open. The decision to prevent cross-region plays is because there is a lot of ping pressure, and the gameplay quality decreased rather significantly if one player is in a different region. So, what do we do... well, we talked and worked on this, and the current thought we have is we will allow navigators to play with others from different regions, because playing with friends is important. But we will push forth a ping limit ensuring the quality of the game, and we won't allow people to change region. This way, we solve the problem, and maintain a balanced gameplay quality. This update may take some time as we need to test this and are working really hard. I will let people know as soon as possible when I know for sure. As well, I would love it if people give more feedback on if this would be a good idea. Nothing is set in stone yet.

Hello, i just saw this. I was thinking about this solution. Lemme explain with an example.
There are 5 Friends : 2 europe, 1 america, 1 china and 1 filiphine.
The game calculates everyone pings. Whats is the server where everyone ping less? Lets say america. So this group will play there.
Instead of ping limit, if the game can find the best server like in my example would be the best!!

And in the lobby there is wrote "server: America" for example. So everyone knows what server are matchmaking

I went through 2 accounts before realizing that region lock is a thing, and how this game applies. You cannot log out of your account in the launcher (which makes no sense in my opinion), and it is tied to your steam account so there is no way another account works. Uninstalling is a choice but that much effort for a game just to change your account? If you're going to have region lock, please just add something like "You are about to be locked into this region for optimal gameplay experience." and a choice of changing the region if the player wish to. No one is going to complain about the gameplay if they willingly change region to have fun with their friends. Massive L for implementing region lock without any notice for the players during account making.

i think the european population getting drowned out by people that refuse to speak english will diminish the playerbase~

Very happy to see a game like this be region locked, hope it stays this way. Latency has been smooth, and everyone speaks the same language as me.

Hello. You say that you will set a ping limit for co-op games and will not allow changing the region, but for me - a player who suffered from this system, this decision seems unacceptable. I live in Kazakhstan, a country between Russia and China. I suppose it was because of my proximity to China that I was assigned to the APAC region. However, my ping in this direction is about 200-250ms. This is very high for a dynamic shooter. At the same time, the ping to European servers would be about 100-140ms, I know this from other games. Do you think this is the right decision to lock me in a region that spoils my gaming experience? And will your new system allow me to play with European friends? Will it not close my access to the game with them because of my high ping, received because of your system? Do not deprive players of the right to decide where, with whom and with what ping they want to play. Thanks for the game and best wishes.
