Keep the region lock, some idiots will bring one friend from half around the world with unplayable ping and then they will afk leaving other. Other games are clamoring for region lock and then there is this game that out of nowhere is review bombed by idiots who suddenly want to play with their friends in brazil.

Ok why am I placed in Apac. I only noticed after my friends told me they can't invite me because a message pop up says I'm from a different region. And how does the devs solution work? I will stay Apac and have a 180 ping or when I play with my friends ( we from NA east ) I will have my original ping back? Can they give us like a 1 time server change so we make it back?

OK, a quick update on the region lock situation: obviously this is a pretty significant issue, and in many ways breaking the regions apart goes against the philosophy of the game, which is, well, people can play with each other. As many of you have noted, during the closed beta regions are open. The decision to prevent cross-region plays is because there is a lot of ping pressure, and the gameplay quality decreased rather significantly if one player is in a different region. So, what do we do... well, we talked and worked on this, and the current thought we have is we will allow navigators to play with others from different regions, because playing with friends is important. But we will push forth a ping limit ensuring the quality of the game, and we won't allow people to change region. This way, we solve the problem, and maintain a balanced gameplay quality. This update may take some time as we need to test this and are working really hard. I will let people know as soon as possible when I know for sure. As well, I would love it if people give more feedback on if this would be a good idea. Nothing is set in stone yet.

It would definitely be better than nothing. As long as you can queue with friends I wouldn't mind there being a region lock when you're in solo queue or if you're the host of the group and you just have a friend from another region in your group.

Would like to have the Region Lock to be removed, just give ppl the choice like in Valorant,.. to select their Server and max Ping and boom should be best setting for it.

if you can't play with any of my friends from Europe. Can't even give it a chance as a group, so why even bother.
So until it's changed, no one in my group is even trying it.
Half the fun of playing something is with friends.
