So hyped for this game coming to steam so I can finally play without 250 ping on the Chinese servers.

yeah, I thought about downloading it and playing on the Chinese server, but I know playing with like 250-300ms ping would be a bad time for not only me, but other players too, lol

still not sure why they changed the name though...

Im not sure either, im not a big fan of it but maybe just cause i know the original name for so long. Funny hing is the ping didnt feel like it affected me too bad, either that or i just didnt know how the netcode was supposed to feel cause i never played on low ping so i might be in for a nice surprise when i get to play on local servers

For me my ping was super good- then one day it just went down. Fixed it with some VPNs and stuff but it seemed like they're throttling out of country connections.
I'm more excited to play the game without having to memorise what slots do in Chinese.

Same. lag was never and issue that was done very well just the delay. And i really cant wait to play in english. I have no idea what im doing with the menus. Im just going on muscle memory what to click having no idea what any of it is anymore.

well its a bit of a pain to just get an account. u need to make an account with the chinese social media app called weechat then u have to find someone in china to verify u. u use this account to log into the game. If u can get that done u can play the game but its all in chinese so u need to use translate to navigate the menus. If u do get in then for me from the uk the ping is about 300-350.
I have enjoyed playing it but with the amount of effort and time to get an account made i would just wait for the beta this month tbh.

As far as I've seen, first several games are with extremely stupid and aim-challenged bots, didn't see any videos with practice mode tho (maybe there is one)

I played strinova (Chinese and global version) the Chinese version is almost identical to the global version we all got to test. Now, the game its self was fun and great. I enjoyed the ranked system and the characters including their ability’s. Now the Chinese version has more characters a load of more content. In the global there was only a solid 1-4 skins for each character but on the Chinese version there was 20+ skins per character. So many great legendary/mythic skins haha. And yes they can drain your bank account. You see there is yen and Chinese online pay in that game so yes you can purchase from it. I would also like to note that yes hackers are an issue but upon global release lots of issues including hacks will be patched (there will always be hackers in any competitive game) so that’s a lame excuse. Now I will say sense the game is coming most likely October of this year (2024) all of the content and battle passes will release in order. Also esports will most likely open for it to. Just wanted to clear that out of the way. Also the ping in China (200ms) from here in the US it actually feels really playable. Like very surprising, it feels like 80 ping on the average game nowadays.

I play with 350ms ping from the uk and it is still remarkably playable. I cant wait for global.
