Oh, and since we're on the topic of Nickelodeon games, how about remakes of The Fairly OddParents games as well? Breaking Da Rules and Shadow Showdown.

While I think a Movie game remake would be nice, and I probably played Movie more than BFBB as a kid. It's pretty unlikely and I would hate to ask too much of purple lamp. (I know I have in the past and I'm pretty embarrassed by it lol).

I just don't think it is marketable enough to be worth the investment. BFBB got remade because of its cultural relevance, and even then it had the stipulation of having the artstyle be modernized, which wouldn't really be appropriate for the Movie game. Plus, the Movie game is generally regarded as a lesser game than BFBB.

I only see it happening if the first movie gets a major marketing push from viacom or paramount or whoever owns the rights. But why would they bother doing that at this point?

I think it's fine to voice your wants though. But I think the best path forward would be a fan remake, or romhacking the original. I'd like to see Purple Lamp and THQN to continue support for Cosmic Shake and BFBBR at least (more in-game graphics options and Clancy Brown in BFBBR). I'm also excited for Purple Lamp's next console or PC project.

BFBB was very popular, stands very well on it's own and was a good stepping stone for creating Cosmic Shake.
As much as I'd love a remake of the movie game. The movie is just far from relevant so I can't imagine it would sell well.
Hope we see more Spongebob titles in the future though!

I think a movie remake is still in the cards at THQNordic. The game reuses a lot of things from BFBB so it's not a stretch to say that they could reuse the same things from Rehydrated. One thing that gives me that indication is that none of the non-extra costumes from the Movie game appear in Cosmic Shake at all, and the only costumes from the Movie are ones that didn't appear in the original game.

I played the movie game on ps 2 so often that the game lags and freeze sometimes becorse the CD is scratched :p

You can play it on your PC or phone with optional improved graphics using Dolphin Emulator

You might be able to rip it to PC and play the image file flawlessly with an emulator.

curse of the flying dutchman could definately use a remake, that game had some fun parts like the delivery race and stuff around town.

but the levels, espeacilly the last level was.....not good, the characters even T pose on the row boat they get away on at the end

Creature from the krusty krab was amazing with the comic book Patrick (I’m not sure if that was the same one where they had you drive at the beginning on you’re mattress that was like a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ Harley lmao but that part was tight)
