Save file gone?

I finished this game not too long ago and decided to check it again recently and found that my save file was gone?
There wasn't a continue or load option from the main menu and was forced to start a new game. Anyone else encounter this?

That sounds incredibly strange. Were you playing this game on another branch before (e.g. a content creator/press pre-release branch)?

Also, please check if your save file is actually still present in the PC folders. It should be in the following location:
C:\Users\[your user name]\AppData\Local\CosmicShake\Saved\[user ID]\SaveGames

So for me, i found the problem a bit ago and solved it, but for some reason the save file data itself in the games folder had been blocked access to me.
it was a simple thing to fix, so i got my old save files back

So how exactly did you solve it? Was the folder set to read only or something? Did Windows Defender block access?
