Don't think so, they could probably have allowed preloading which would also allow the disk to install the game
Uh... I also have Battle for Bikini Bottom on disk, but anyway, this is what the disk contents looks like:

A bunch of .csm and .csd files, I have no idea how to extract them.
Is there any way to check whether Steam automatically downloaded a patch during the install process? Also, the disk has a capacity of 7.3 GB and the install folder is 8.5 GB so either the data was compressed or they needed to download an additional gig
To be fair I'm probably useless when it comes to this sort of stuff so I doubt I'm the right person to request this from. And I can't have someone else take a look since I'm not going to commit pre-mature high seas sailing by uploading the disk to the web
Is there any chance that the build on the disk is so drastically different that it's worth checking, since the file creation dates suggest that the build may only be a month and a half old? The second commenter implied this was the case for BFBB Rehydrated, though I've never heard about anything like that
And, does this usually happen in conjunction with the PC retail release? Since there are no certification requirements on PC
in sku.sis (you can open it in notepad), there should be a line that looks like
"manifests"
{
"969991" "1586507095676886083"
it would be the long random string of numbers at the end :)
